I’ve been thinking about my review. The last few times we’ve been at this place it’s been good. This time something was off. The shift manager came in and leaned on the bar with his back to us as we waited behind the barrier to be seated. It was a shift change. His attitude was not great. The salsa tasted like tomato sauce and the food was average. These days going out cost a lot so .. you hope it’s going to be really good. I will say my favorite waitress served us- she’s been there a long time and us a pro. But… I don’t think will be back .

Never going back there. We were asking for some cocktails the first waitress came and ask what we want and we request some recipe cocktails and he never back to said anything abd then another guy came and ask if we already order something so we said Yes!!, and then another guy came, at this time 10 minutes already and no drinks yet, so another guy come and ask what we want and we said and then this guy said I’m training the bartenders and he said “I don’t know we are you guys coming from” Do you think this place deserve 5 stars with that kind of attitude?. To finish this review we have to leave because our drinks ” long Island and something easy to prepare. Bad Costumer Service!! ZERO STARS.

They had an off night. My wife had the mango chicken salad. The mango was still green and hard. The waitress should never have presented it. Then she was brought a chicken Caesar salad, and it had onions all throughout, something my wife does not like. So then they finally brought her another chicken Caesar salad without onion, seriously, who has heard of ever putting onions in a Caesar salad?

Ive been looking for a good Mexican restaurant in Clovis and haven’t quite found it. There are good places, but each one lacks something. We came to Bobby Salazars because we always liked the Sals restaurant in Madera. The menu has similarities to each other, however I’d say this Bobby Salazars had a better food quality and taste. This restaurant always seemed more of a bar then restaurant when we would drive by on Clovis. After going inside it does seem more “bar”ish, but there is an area in the south end that gives more of a restaurant feel. At first we were forgotten after sitting for quite a while. After asking for a waiter to help us, they jumped on giving great service. The service was outstanding throughout the rest of our dining. The food was also very good. I would recommend others to give it a try.

I got the fiesta platter for myself, because I was hungry and wanted to try it all. Plenty of leftover food for another meal. The chicken bites have good medium spicy flavor, everything else was kinda plain. It’s ok, but nothing that makes me want to go back again. The karaoke at night is great entertainment.

Dinner on a Monday afternoon with family… They were somewhat prompt even though the restaurant wasn’t that busy. But the staffing wasn’t over abundant. They have become quite expensive for the amount of food you get on a shallow plate. My Taco enchilada plate sufficient. Just fill their pricing is slightly out of line for the quantity and taste of the food. Years ago and Bobby Salazar’s was quite tasty I think they’ve gotten a little too corporate.
