As a Gen X, I use to come to Big John’s with my dad as a kid. As a kid, this was such a treat when my dad would ask do I want to go to Big John’s would bring such excitement. Because it was such a test getting subs from here, they were always so delicious. I moved to the Metro Detroit area in the ’90s. Unfortunately, no big johns in the metro Detroit area. Such a shame.

All I can say after reading other reviews is don’t compare this to a Philly steak. It’s it’s own thing in its own region. That being said I enjoyed it very much, and would definitely be back for another one.

This location is horrible. If I’m craving Big John’s last minute I end up at this location trying to give it another chance bc it’s right next to my house. Horrible every time, from the service to the food. I’ll continue to drive the extra 20 mins to Davison, where they know what they’re doing.

Corunna Rd. Location I stop there often when visiting Flint last couple of times staff was real and last week the Manager had to step in and complete my order. Worst sandwich chicken Philly. I asked a question and staff got made and stopped making my sandwich. Never again !!
