Meh. The place is extremely simple, small and hole in the wall-ish. The many high reviews must be for another establishment because I don’t understand this place warranting them. It doesn’t scream cleanliness, nor is the menu inventive. Their dumplings are doughy… Fried rice usually oily. In a pinch it’s OK but not the place I like to frequent regularly.

This place is a real gem. The Thai specials and curry dishes are excellent, the veggies are generous and not overcooked, and I prefer their chicken-broccoli over my former manhattan neighborhood’s favorite takeout. If you prefer sugary/gloopy Americanized “Chinese” fare, you will be disappointed, just go somewhere else. But if you want tasty fresh takeout that approaches clean eating, give this little spot a try.

I was really surprised at how bad their food was. We ordered sesame chicken and it was soggy and lacked flavor. The house special fried rice with beef has small minces of beef that were barely noticeable (I literally had to search through it to find a piece) and filled with bulk veggies (not the good kind). We ordered crab Rangoon and instead got some other sort of fried wonton filled with meat. All in all I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

Outstanding Chinese takeout. The food is tasty, the ingredients are fresh and the recipes are of that of a high-rated, full service restaurant quality. Great scallion pancakes, fried rice (that is not greasy) and everything is made-to-order how we like it.

DISAPPOINTING! We tried the restaurant for the first time last night in search of a new local place and were VERY dissatisfied. The egg drop wonton soup was like eating Jello, the soup noodles were stale, the vegetable lo mein was tasteless, and the shrimp with garlic was goopy and the shrimp (which was mealy and clearly had been frozen) was off-tasting. We won’t be trying this for a second time, I’m sorry to say.

I have eaten at places from coast to coast, full disclosure have not been to a Michelin star rated restaurant, but this is a hidden gem, his pad Thai, his house special with basil is to die for for. Nothing disappoints if u know what u are ordering. I don’t like sweet food and he knows it. My $0.02!!

Will never return. Ordered two roast pork with veggie lunch specials and received two shrimp dishes. Called back and spoke to a woman and explained the issue. I asked THREE TIMES if they would like me to return the wrong order. Never received a yes or no. I returned to get my correct order which was not made and would not be made until I returned incorrect food. Now had to make two trips to my home and back for TWO mistakes that NEW CHINA made. They check food and THROW IT AWAY! I asked, “after all that you just throw it away?” My brother owns an Italian restaurant and would OF COURSE ask to see incorrect order, but would then tell customers keep the wrong order AND what you wanted as sign of good faith. Lady at New China gives me ONE free soda can and tells me to take FREE sauces. You clearly do not know what good customer service is. New China just lost a customer.

Loved our takeout feast from New China! We had a passel of family and friends converging on us, so we called New China to feed them all. My personal favorite is the wonderful Cashew Chicken over brown rice…thank you for that healthful addition to the menu. From the contented “Yum!” sounds and scraping noises as spoons dug the last bit of each goody out of the containers, I could tell everyone enjoyed the food as much as I did. Indeed, there was barely enough left for a decent midnight snack! Next time, I’ll have to order more and hide some just so I can sneak a second helping later on.
