The first visit left alot to be desired. This time he food was excellent and the service was much better. Must have caught them on an off night the first time. The chicken fried steak and hamburger steak are great and the salads are fresh and wonderful.

I was excited to take my daughter and friends here while visiting her. Not a ton of options in Navasota. The place looks nice, pretty clean. Wait staff was very attentive and pleasant. But the food was all a bit over done. My burger was very well done (I’m not getting too mad, I didn’t specify like I should have). My wife’s shrimp were overcooked. And my daughter’s CFS had a great flavor but was, you guessed it, overcooked. It all had great potential but at their prices I probably won’t give it another shot.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is very good and the food is very delicious. some employees are good , some are totallyunconcerned. ( While watching the TV on the bar, I noticed a waitress casually throwing something in the bucket in front of a customer who is seating at the bar area enjoy his dinner , anyway I was surprised .If anyone does that to me ,I don’t think I will be happy )

This place was awesome! We got there at 1:30-2pm and it wasn’t too busy at all. You seat yourself, and then someone will come out and bring you a menu and take your drink order. They came out maybe 5 minutes after we got there so we didn’t feel rushed but we also didn’t feel like we needed to find someone to help us! We ordered fried pickles and mozzarella sticks to start, they were AMAZING. We get friend pickles everywhere we go but I honestly think this place was the best we’ve ever had. The batter they use was thin and crispy, not too salty and a HUGE serving. The Mozzarella sticks were good too! But the pickles were the show stopper. I got the chicken strips and my sister got the burger. Strips were perfectly cooked and the batter was perfectly crunchy. My sister said the burger was amazing. And the fries! So good. The atmosphere of this place was super warm, inviting, and friendly. You could tell it’s a place where locals go often. There was a good amount of parking but I imagine come 7pm when the dance hall starts it gets a bit more tight. They have handicap parking and very wide doors to fit wheelchairs if needed. The dining area is laid out so if you’re in a wheelchair you can easily find a place to sit.

Expensive for nothing particularly good. I mean it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t exactly good either. $60 filet mignon was tender but bland. Mashed potatoes tasted like a mix of instant and real potatoes. Grocery store roll with no butter. Ordered desserts and they were was just standard SYSCO type desserts that were overpriced. Caesar salad was good. The lettuce was fresh and the dressing was good.

I hope the Honky-tonk is better than the food and service. We arrived, well after lunch, thinking the lunch crowd would be done on Friday 3/31/23. They were, but it didn’t really make any difference. Service was bad and food was WAY overpriced for what we received. When the waitress finally came to ask us what we wanted to drink….it took her awhile, even though the place was pretty empty, we told her and getting our drinks took even longer. Finally, after a while she came back to take our food order. We ordered the chicken fried steak with salads and mashed potatoes, because we had been told they were almost as good as Goodsons in Tomball….they weren’t…nowhere near as good. I had a salad and baked sweet potato with mine. I honestly think they find the smallest, sweet potatoes they can find and charge you for a full size one.

This place was really cool! We came during the day, before the dance hall was open, the food was so good! We seated ourselves and then a server came over and took our order a few mins later. They were very quick getting our order out to us but we came after lunch rush hour so I can’t say if that’s the norm. I got the cheese burger and fried pickles, my sister got the fried chicken and mozzarella sticks.The batter is so light and fluffy, the fried pickles were the best I’ve had! The burger was seasoned very well and the mozzarella sticks were good and passed the cheezy stretch test. (My sister took a picture but never sent it to me ) My sister said the fried chicken was very good too! Very cool antique decorations inside, friendly staff, and good food. Love this place! Will have to come back to see what the dance hall has to offer.
