Originally from San Antonio, TX … and knowing excellent Mexican food, I can say La Cocinita serves up authentic Mexican and wonderful cheesy enchiladas. Their marbled mushroom topped enchiladas are outstanding. And a their Dos Equis is always served ice cold!

La Cocinita has a nice atmosphere and good food. It’s a little small, but that’s just part of the charm. The restaurant has a limited, but authentic homecooked menu which is really pretty tasty. Great for a date or night out.

I thought the food was very authentic Mexican. Very large portions. I got like three meals out of my food when I took the left overs home. They are only open in the evenings. I thought the service was good and they have bottled Pepsi from Mexico. Make sure you check this place out and tell them Joe sent you. You will be happy you ate there.

I had absolutely terrible service there. Offered a table by the hostess and then nobody else came over. Severs just kept walking right past going to the adjacent tables completely oblivious (or uncaring) that we had no waiter. Finally had to ask if anyone was going to help us. When we finally did get our food it was mediocre. The place is way overpriced as well.

Don’t bring your children here, they are not set up and the owner is surprisingly inflexible. There’s better Mexican food in several places nearby in Stillwater.
