It’s been some time since we’ve been here. Wife and I found a busy place today when we arrived. Apparently short a cook which is the new norm nowadays. But the staff we dealt with were all friendly. We ordered burgers. I also ordered a large Orange/Pineapple shake where they use their Gelato. Both my wife and I thought it was average at best. Was missing some flavor. For the price I expected better. The burgers were still good but not as good as I remember them. Did not seem to have as much flavor but I cannot put my finger on it. Staff was working very hard and were friendly with folks. Food was pretty good but the shake was mediocre at best.

Had 2 Burgers. They were done nicely. Upgraded to French Fries and had 2 waters. Came to $30. Seems a bit pricey. Burgers were very good. Service was excellent. French fries were cooked on the crispy well done side and quantity was ok.

I had a sweet tooth. I bought the jumbo red velvet cupcake and the Italian peanut butter cup gelato. The cupcake had a strong cream cheese flavor but the cupcake was too dry to me. I didn’t eat it all. The gelato was good but not my favorite. There were plenty of tables to sit down though. It was in its own little section in the market and it was about in the middle of the market. I wouldn’t order the cupcake or gelato again, it was just OK. Prices were OK. It was almost $9 for a small cup of gelato and a jumbo cupcake. For the taste of both it was not worth the $9. They have other food to order like sandwiches, burgers, soups, etc. The cashier was friendly. 3 stars because it is about average for a cupcake/gelato from all the places I have tried in the last year and the service was good.

Called in order to go. Used menu on website and according to their menu online 2 burgers that come with chips and a pickle (they said no pickles) and 2 potato Soups (cups) the price would have been approximately $25. Somehow it came up to $35 when I picked the food up. I didn’t get a receipt so not sure what the pricing is but honestly that price is outrageous for 2 mediocre burgers, on the small side, 2 mini bags of route 11 chips and 2 Styrofoam cups of potato soup. The soup was decent but I still would have never ordered and paid that much for little bit of food. I understand it’s local but the price does not justify.

An oddity of sorts, located in the Shenandoah Heritage Market. It’s kind if like an over 60 hang out, a twist on the yuppie coffee/tea house…kind of cool. Had coffee and strawberry rurbarb pie. Very good, especially the coffee. Vinyl table cloths, old school basket meals, real mugs and plates available. 🙂

We have eaten there twice this year. First time they made the wrong entree but they did correct it. Again today it was just not a great experience. A simple hamburger, a ruben, fries and two soft drinks was $29.09. Seems like prices are up and the quality is down. Strong bleach smell coming from an employee cleaning nearby as we ate.

Had lunch here with a friend and her 3 year old granddaughter. There was something for all of us on the menu and it was delicious. The service was efficient and friendly. Will definitely go back!
