Our dream of sharing our love for coffee and wine became a reality when we opened the doors of Labas Latte & Vino on September 15, 2018, in Monee, Illinois. We have painstakingly searched for the best and highest quality wines, coffees, and food. We take pride in the faces of our satisfied customers leaving the establishment after having taken a respite from their busy lives to take part in some of the cultures we have brought here from our travels.

First let me say our group was really looking forward to dining here. Great reviews. Unfortunately this was our experience. Arrived 10 minutes before reservation were ignored, then said they couldn’t find our reservation. Finally seated. Waited 20 minutes to order drinks. Waitress made fun of my husbands drink choice. Ok her attempt at humor. Also ordered 2 appetizers. Drinks finally came 15 minutes later. Never saw waitress again. 40 minutes in my husband went in to ask about apps and more drinks. Be careful the waiter decided to add his own tip, we left a cash tip and he added another $10 to the charge, not cool. Also the cook in the kitchen well I think he is new and didn’t make a chicken avocado panini he forgot the avocado and the sandwich was cold inside. Not sure how that happened when it goes into the machine.

I wanted to take my wife out mid week to relax. So the weather was perfect and I wanted to come see what the new Chef was doing. An excellent menu and variety! The specials were all spot on and unique. We tried both soups of the night and could of order more! Very good!! Pumpkin spice soup, and a pulled pork southwest soup. We both loved each.Then a well prepared and fresh 1/2 dozen oysters in the half shell. Next up was a Margherita Flatbread, that was just the right size for an appetizer. We had the Goat Cheese Bruschetta. Smooth and creamy, on a perfect bread. I opted for the wine flight ( whites), each was good and a nice pour for their special only $12.00. My wife went with a Espresso Chocolate martini, yum! I ordered a very smooth sweet red wine, and her a coffee to sit outside near the fire. Perfect! Mary our waitress was very helpful, friendly and very attentive. We are looking forward to our next time! So many things on the menu for both food selections and drinks. Definitely a must stop for a fun dinner with friends, or nice romantic one in a friendly setting. A+
