Don’t be deceived–Buddy’s may look like a fast food chain, but their food doesn’t reflect it! I ordered a half-chicken meal with potato salad and coleslaw, and pulled pork dinner with green beans and baked beans. Both meals came with hushpuppies! Oh it was quality and delicious!! Coleslaw was fresh, crunchy, and not too sweet or savory. Super kind front of the house and a clean dining area.

Love Buddy’s Bar-B-Q and the sides. Their HawgBack Potato is great. But since they remodeled the restaurant they no longer play those old country tunes that set the atmosphere. The music now is loud and screaming and we try to find a table furthest from the speakers. Please bring back Willie, Dolly, etc.

I ordered a smokie dawg with slaw. @4:00 pm on 6/21 in Athens TN. I didn’t see chili, asked what appeared to be a manager about it, who said it doesn’t come with it. I showed her the picture on menu, surprise chili is pictured. Then she said oh, it’s under the slaw with an attitude. Know your product as a manager and change your attitude when working with public. How is a pulled pork sandwich cold?!? Employees spent more time bickering about how the dine in trays were laid out rather than concentrate on getting food to the customers. Probably don’t return.

I ordered online and my order was all messed up and we didn’t receive items and when I spoke to the lady on the phone instead of taking responsibility for the bad service she started making excuses as to why we got bad service such as they was busy, and in my head I’m thinking of course you was busy its lunch time, busy is no excuse for poor service and excuses, and when I asked for a refund I was told I would have to tell door dash and see if they would give me my money back because when you look them up online there is a button that says order online and its through door dash even, if you are picking it up yourself and that’s why they couldn’t give me my money back which to me is ridiculous and a way for people to get treated poorly and pass the buck to someone else. So I was supposed to tell door dash that they didn’t give my napkins or plastic ware or my drink or bbq on or beside my sandwich, and we had to wait almost 30 minutes past the expected time to even get our food and the lady at the window shoved it out and said here. I know the food is good if done right the service needs a lot of work, the shift leader that evening remade the food for me and it was delicious and the service the second time was great even though I was big mad when I went in.

I always go through the drive thru it’s a wait but it well worth it wished it would be a little faster but other than that great food and there hot fudge cake Sunday is awesome hot dog if you have them put chili and cheese on them there very good pork is not dry has a good taste ther sides I recommend potato salad,slaw and there baked beans plus if you get a bowl of there chili and some of there hush puppies and crumble them in the chili it’s a must try

It’s not the best BBQ I’ve had, but it’s worth the trip occasionally. The hot fudge cake it pretty good and reasonably priced. Drive thru is usually fast and I always ask for a cup of sauce when I go. The family pack is good on those rushed days and they do have a special on Tuesday, I think, but not sure, it’s on the sign.

We stopped into Buddy’s BBQ for supper and boy was it eventful lol. The young man at the register must have been new he was so nervous a few items were left out of our order. (NOT COMPLAINING!! He is a young man probably working his 1st job.. Just stating) The food was amazing and FRESH! Tea was also FRESH, Restaurant was Clean & Restroom. Buddy’s has been in Athens for as long as I can remember. We’re not letting a little hiccup make us not want to return.
