I really like this place. It’s a hidden gem. I didn’t expect an exceptional Indian restaurant in Brooklyn center. All the food from buffet is splendid. It’s a heaven for vegetarians like Chana masala, palak paneer, okra curry, cabbage, etc but they also have meat options like goat curry, beef, chicken curry, etc. give it a try!

Great food– we got garlic naan, chicken vindaloo, paneer makani, and vegetable samosa. We were happy with everything, but the naan was probably the best we’ve ever had.

I was surprised that this place was open today! They have Delicious food. Also if you get spicy, it doesn’t burn your tongue unlike some Indian restaurants. The spice really adds to the flavor. The service was great too! The server was very mindful about keeping my glass full, brought us bread, more rice, etc.

Food was kind of okay. Non vegetarian dishes were far more better than the vegetarian ones. Chick peas and cabbage dishes were not cooked well. Ambience was not good with old metal chairs and china clay serving plates.

Great India is still as great as the first time I was there. The staff is extremely friendly and attentative! We don’t get to go out often but their is a woman who remembers us and doesn’t even have to ask for our order.

One of my absolute favorite restaurants in the metro. Kind of a hidden gem – the prices are great, the food is delicious, whether you are looking for vegan fare or something for omnivores. Some of the best food in the Twin Cities. The buffet is great, take-out is a treat, and dining in for dinner is always nice.

The lunch buffet is the bomb! There is Goat Curry, Okra Stir Fry and rice pudding. You know I could live on those 3 item daily the rest of my life! But I shouldn’t. Did i mention the buffet is only $9.95? There are about 15 items to choose from. Another noteworthy item on their menu is their Bryani. It’s very fragrant of saffron and clove but not overpowering. Add the yogurt sauce to balance out the heat.

I’m a regular customer at this restaurant. I stop by at least twice a month. I don’t understand why some people are complaining. For the buffet, I typically stop by between 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. as the food is most fresh. The staff are always friendly and the food tastes good. I would suggest going to the buffet to try out the different dishes. You will love it.
