At our Knoxville, TN location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

This location offered better quality than my local establishment. The cashier was helpful to my 80 yr old mother, who was unsure of her choices. She was friendly and thoughtful. The floor was not slick as is the floor at my neighborhood location. The food was fresh and well cooked. Great experience.

Went thru drive thru. The attendant was a bit hurry oriented. I’d never been before, was not helpful with questions. I should have demanded more time. Got a sampler platter. Food was good but not much in distinguishable taste between different fish types. A bit too greasy, but was clean grease did not have tell tail signs of old grease. Would like to go again and have more knowledge of the options and not being rushed, nor accept the being rushed. Therefore gave a four star in those 2 areas.

My husband and I went this evening, the fish was good and hot but the sides, green beans, okra, baked potato were barely warm, also the shrimp was barely warm as well… just work on that and you’ll get 5

I just want to commend the young man named Carson who was working the drive thru tonight! Give him a raise because he is the nicest, friendliest, most polite, and just honestly most refreshing breath of fresh air!! In a world full of rude, disrespectful, and super unfriendly service workers (and people in general), Carson took it next level with a bright smile on his face and joy in his conversation with me!

I got the chicken and fish through the drive thru and the chicken was very small. When I went inside with the food and asked about it they wouldn’t replace it and said “That’s what it normally looks like.” They could’ve at least replaced the tiny, finger-sized tender I got.
