For some reason I sometimes crave their chicken planks and hush puppies. The fries were good but I tend to like fries more crispy. The drive through was very slow. I suspect during the dinner rush, they make the food fresh. My chicken was certainly hot.

A hour before they closed they still gave us everything we ordered and not like others places where they said sorry we’re done making hush puppies just because we’re closing in a hour which I think that is unacceptable!! So this is the place you would want to go if you want some good hot food even tho they closed in a hour and that’s what I’m talking about!! You guys are AWESOME!!! ✨

I’ve been a fan all my life. When you get their fish and chicken hot out of the fryer, it’s awesome. I don’t know that I’ve ever had better chicken than theirs, and the fish is a very close second. Great service at this location as well.

They tend to be understaffed and reluctant to keep the lobby open so plan on arriving between 4–7:30pm if you want to eat inside, but there’s no height limit for the drive-thru so taller vehicles are fine anytime.

I’ve went to LJS 3 times in 5 days only to find them closed each time. Apparently, their business days and hours have changed, yet they’ve deemed not to update them online. The Henry St. location is no longer open on Mondays or Tuesdays, and they’re only open until 8:00 pm instead of 9:00 pm— oh, and good luck trying to get someone to answer the phone.
