Found another great place to eat. Went for a ride Saturday and found ourselves in Montgomery, AL, and stopped by Charles Anthony’s for dinner. Great food and great service. We ordered glasses of wine to go along with our entrees. Hubby ordered the Fried combination seafood platter, which included fried shrimp, oysters, trout, deviled crab, and hush puppies along with a sweet potato and okra. I ordered the Grilled red snapper with a house salad and white rice. We finished our meal with coffee and bread pudding. This meal made the trip worthwhile since we came all the way over from Forsyth, GA.

Unexpected place in Montgomery. The service was excellent. The lounge side gives it an old timely 70s style steakhouse. The food wasn’t great but it was very good. Ribeye was good. Will visit again when I’m back in town.

Our first time here was wonderful. The server was very nice, kind and informative. We ordered a steak which was cooked perfectly, soft in the middle but seared with a crunch top & bottom. The grilled shrimp was okay with the side of butter. The salad was portioned small but everything was very filling with our appetizer. The crab claws were very meaty and fried perfectly. Fries & rolls were very good. Asparagus was plain but good. Definitely recommend this place although a little pricey, it’s very nice for a formal dinner.

Rude staff. I made a reservation for a business group I was hosting more than two weeks prior, and I confirmed it. They wrote down my number wrong and claimed they canceled my reservation because they had incorrectly recorded my number. My group had ro wait more than 30 minutes, and we were not seated together. It was quite embarrassing to my company, to me, and our guests. Do not trust your reservations to be held. Not a good place for important events.

The food and service was amazing. The ribeye melted in your mouth and I highly recommend it. We also enjoyed the rainbow trout and fried shrimp. Most of the sauces and salad dressings are homemade which adds to the quality and taste.

Busy place but I sat at the bar where they also serve food. Ordered a glass of wine, an appetizer and entree. Sipped the wine and suddenly a server brings my entree. “Where’s my oyster appetizer?” I asked. She had no idea but asked if I wanted to have my entree. I feel like the purpose of an entree is to start the meal. She took my food away, the bar server apologized but I did see her write it down on my order so not sure who was at fault. Oysters arrived and I was half way finished when the entree appears again. At this point I took it but it was sort of dried out like it sat under a heat lamp waiting. Oh well, the food and wine was of good quality, just not the service.

I want to personally thank this restaurant and staff for giving us such a great dining experience. We are in town for a funeral and were feeling down but needed to eat. They were able to seat a large group of us at a timely manner with no reservation. Our server was incredible as well and patient and descriptive with the menu. We were able to come together as a family and enjoy the absolutely delicious food that was prepared for us. If you’re in Montgomery you must come to Charlie Anthony’s!

We went to celebrate my daughter’s and mother’s birthday. It was highly recommend by my sister’s coworker. It was okay for Montgomery. The atmosphere was nice but most people were in jeans and t shirts even though it’s a fancy restaurant.
