On a recent visit to Youngstown, my boyfriend and I were pleasantly surprised by the culinary excellence of Bistro 1907 by Mark Canzonetta. This charming eatery, nestled within the DoubleTree by Hilton, harmoniously fuses the city’s historic essence with an elevated dining experience. Our first encounter was an exploration of unique flavors: I chose the refreshing Crispy Shrimp Salad, adorned with an enticing Green Goddess dressing, while my boyfriend was drawn to the Truffle Ribeye, cooked to perfection and topped with an egg. This initial experience was accentuated by the restaurant’s tasteful lighting, which cast a flattering glow, accentuating my boyfriend’s muscular features and making him look particularly handsome.

I love Youngstown and I love local businesses, so writing a critical review is hard. But tonight was a disappointment and I hope that it will be taken as constructive but I have so little good to say that it’s hard.

I just wanted to take a few seconds to recognize my favorite two bartenders, Sarah and Phil. They take such great care of us each time we visit, and make us feel like family. Thanks guys! Not to mention, the food is tasty and the drinks are delicious!

Delicious! First time Bistro visit was great. Our server, Emma?, was great. Bruschetta was fine, yum yum shrimp was soo good but there could have been more yum yum. Loved the Avocado Caesar Salad and the Cheese Tortellini and Chicken Marsala were ammmmmaaaaaazing. Our entrees were specials so we will be back to try out the regular menu soon!

Fantastic date night spot. The restaurant is beautiful. The food was amazing, from presentation to the last bite. Just kidding, we both had leftovers. Jessica was our server. She was knowledgeable about the menu, funny and super kind. She was very genuine and cared about the place she works. We’ll be back for sure.

I know everyone says this but I legitimately never leave reviews or send food back. Tonight I dined in at Bistro and so far so good until I received my Ribeye. I ordered medium rare and it was almost burnt when sent to me. Again, I never send food back and even told the waitress I was mortified to do so but felt I should because it was pretty inedible. No less than 2 minutes later, this “medium rare” steak arrived. I couldn’t believe how legitimately RAW this was and how anyone could serve this to someone. Pretty unacceptable given your typical food regulations. This is precisely why I don’t send food back in apprehension there might be a retaliation like this from kitchen staff. So for whoever reads this at your establishment or corporate office, please address accordingly with your staff. This feels pretty unbelievable and not to mention unsafe.

Oh my goodness! I’ve wanted to try this restaurant for a long time. Today was my birthday and I said let’s go. Jessica was our waitress and she was amazing. She was very helpful with the menu. She took such good care of us! Such a sweet heart! We got salads as our appetizer’s with fries and the French onion soup! So delicious. My husband got a rib eye and I got the fettuccine which WAS SOOO delicious. Because it was my birthday we had the chocolate butter cake with caramel ice-cream! This entire experience was soooo amazing and the food was sooooo good. The menu was soooo big that it took us awhile to see what we wanted (I’m not sure what a previous review was talking about. The dinner menu was front and back with so many items. There was even a weekly special)
