i was just here and the only reason that i will ever come back is because of my waitress kaylee. first of all, the staff here are all absolutely so rude. there was a table that our waitress had and they were giving her such a hard time for no reason and complaining about everything trying to get their food for free and then another waiter went over and just started absolutely blaming our waitress in every way and legitimately trash talking her to the table while i could hear it from the other side of the restaurant, which is so unprofessional on his behalf and did not stick up for her whatsoever. she did absolutely amazing with our table even with everything that happened and deserves so much more credit than anyone there was giving her. train your staff to do better and be better and to stick up for their coworkers instead of tearing them down.

I so wanted to have a positive experience with Red Olive in Hartland because my husband loves their lamb shank dinner. However, we will not be patrons of this location anymore. Our first bad experience happened a few months back when I called in our dinner order for carry-out. When I arrived to pick it up the girl at the desk apologized and said that they were, in fact, out of their lamb shank dinner so my carry out order only included my dinner. I’m not sure why I wasn’t told this on the phone at the time of order, or, why someone didn’t call me back to give me the option to order something else. Instead I was told at the time of pick-up and then, in order to have a different meal for my husband to eat, had to wait for it to be prepared. We weren’t pleased with how that was handled, so didn’t order from them for a while.

The food here is so good! It’s just a little strip mall place, but they make a delicious salad, and much of the food we’ve gotten here is great. It’s not so cheap that you worry, and the vibe could use some updating. Overall, our family likes going here, and the kind and helpful staff.

We went upon recommendation of a friend. She lives in the area, and we are moving into the area. She swore up and down that Red Olive was fantastic! I had the chicken noodle soup, and there was way too much either white or black pepper, that it was too spicy to eat. Same with the gravy on the sliced turkey lunch/dinner. Maybe I should have had breakfast like the others.. shrug.. it was like someone opened the wrong end of the pepper, and a sprinkle turned into a pile. The others enjoyed their breakfast, though.

The servers and setting we’re lovely, but most of the meats were over cooked. We did fish, chicken, and steak and they were all dry and crunchy. The sides were fine. I don’t expect fresh from a small restaurant. The soup was quite good though.
