Service was super friendly and attentive! Was able to grab a quick dinner without waiting since we sat in the bar area. They had mushroom fries, which is something I’ve never seen before. They were pretty good. I got the fish tacos—one grilled and one fried. They were not bad, the corn was a nice added touch but wish it came with more sauce. They did a good Mai Tai.

Decided to eat here instead of Duke’s. Walked right up to the bar with no wait while Duke’s was already at an hour.

Such a great dinner spot in Waikiki! Loved the focaccia and highly recommend the macadamia nut encrusted mahi mahi. Also enjoyed the rainbow sorbet. Super friendly staff and a beautiful view!

Poke tacos and seared ahi were amazing. Nice views and shade from the patio. You still get all the music and vibes from Dukes below, but without the crazy crowds and wait time (when we went for dinner on Saturday, it was 1.5hr wait for Dukes and nothing for Hula Grill). Nice portions for the price and really fresh fish. Excellent service. Thanks

Food is amazing. The bread they bring out is some of the best bread I’ve had. Guava bbq chicken and Rice was very good. Hula pie was a great way to finish the meal.

Great food combined with excellent views of the water. Location is right above Dukes, and also less crowded. Mai Tai is very good.

Food was really good, as was the Mai Tai. Everything came out quickly. I had fish tacos, definitely have them again. The dessert, a Hula Pie was enormous, we shared and still had a job finishing. Although we didn’t have a table overlooking the beach we could see from where we sat. Very spacious inside.

Outstanding!! We ate out every night for a week in and around Waikiki and this was by far the best meal. All three of us thoroughly enjoyed our dinners, appetizers, and drinks. Love the setting over Dukes looking out at the ocean and beach. Doesn’t get a lot better.

The bread was delicious, and the food overall was very tasty. The Chef’s risotto was grossly underseasoned, as was the kid’s mac and cheese. I got the dry aged ribeye, which was perfect sans a more discernable sear. The BBQ chicken was tender and juicy. The Hula Pie was delicious! Service was overall good but slightly unattentive at times. All staff were very friendly.

A very friendly restaurant, we had a cocktail before dinner. I strongly recommend the Lava flow (Pina Colada + strawberries) simply delicious! My husband had a guava BBQ chicken which was really good as the chef’s daily risotto (mushroom). Unfortunately my panko crusted calamari steak was not good and after speaking to the lovely waitress, they removed it from the bill.
