Small banh mi and boba shop that gets a bunch of traffic during the weekday lunch hour, especially from the nearby high school students.

Not sure if it’s because we came earlier in the day and prep was still on going (arrived around 10:45-11am). We got two sandwiches and fresh shrimp spring rolls. Spring rolls have no basil and hence packed flavor, but were still decently good. Veggies on sandwich were not properly shredded (carrots in huge half cut clumps). Also I thought things like the carrots were supposed to be lightly pickled but they weren’t at all ( maybe too early?). We stopped here to pick up lunch for Stern Grove show but I’m the end we felt the food was fine, but missing some of what makes a great bhan mi awesome.

Ordered the Lemongrass Tofu Banh Mi and it was seriously delicious. In comparison to other sandwich places, the tofu had a sweeter marinade. Highly recommend that you eat it right after you receive it!! The bread was also nice and toasty. Also got the mango green iced tea which was not too sweet which I liked.

This opinion is only based on the boba. I came here by coincidence and ended up getting a kiwi ice tea with boba and one Vietnamese coffee. The kiwi ice tea had a weird taste, i couldn’t really enjoy the kiwi, but the boba was good and chewy when I ate it. The coffee was good and strong. Overall the place is small and clean and have different options, the service is ok. I hope i can come back and try some of the sandwiches.

Overall good sandwich, what hit the home run is the banh mi(bread) itself. Nice and crusty. Also a lil buttery. Never had that before for a ‘banh mi’ sandwich. Been eating banh mi since I was a kid (I’m Vietnamese). Prices are much higher than in San Jose, then again it’s SF. Pate is light and bland, aside from that, good sandwich.

FYI please serve your customers in the order they came in. Having some impatient person with small order served ahead why we wait for our orders and tipped you as well is very insulting. I get you want to maximize business but making bigger orders wait longer is the not the right way to do it.

I love the Lemongrass Tofu sandwich. Everything about the sandwich is right. The bread is perfectly toasted. The toppings all compliment each other balanced through out the sandwich. The tofu is really seasoned well in the Lemongrass and has a great texture.
