I am more than impressed by the atmosphere of this place. I asked the barista the differences between coffees and she was very knowledgeable. She was also so sweet to give me an education on the differences on how the different styles of coffee are made. The coffee here surpasses Starbucks any day! The next time I’m in Douglas this will be my first stop!

WOW! The atmosphere was amazing. The servers were like family and coming ho.e from being on the road for a long time. They were very welcoming. Our server was awesome!! The selection of food is terrific. It was hard to decide. You have to try the carrot cake fantastic rich fluffy flavor. The sweet tea was spot on. Then the entrees were presented so beautifully. The char on my T-Bone was perfection. If your every in Douglas or live there and have never been here it’s worth the stop. Then check out the Gadsden next door. Thank you guys for a blessed experience. God bless yall.

Unfortunately, we will not be returning after being regulars. The manager blamed the front staff for issues clearly related to the kitchen process. The server did an excellent job and tried to help even as other staff blamed her for the kitchen not getting food out correctly. None of us received the salads we ordered, the salmon did not come with the sauce that we were told, and my dinner did not come until almost 20 minutes after the other three in my party. I was especially embarrassed as I chose the restaurant for a business dinner with an executive officer of my work. She ordered beef fajitas and was given mixed fajitas which she specifically said she did not want. When the sirloin came out, the kitchen did not give me my baked potato (they incorrectly placed mashed potatoes) or salad and there was no sour cream on the potato. The steak was more than well done which I had not asked for. It took another 20 minutes for the baked potato to come out and when we left we still had no salad. I was charged $27 for a sirloin steak management offered one free dessert. It was disappointing to say the least that we paid so much well over $100 for half of our food being woefully late or absent.

A gorgeous restaurant attached to the Hotel Gadsden, a great place to stop and get a sit down meal in the heart of old downtown Douglas. High ceilings and foal wait staff perform the duties under crystal lamps and a huge marble floor. Expect to spend upwards of $20.00 a meal.

One of my longtime favorites places to lounge and have coffee. I wish my kitchen looked like this!

Wish the seat was more comfortable. The rootbeer tasted like it lacked adequate syrup but it was good, just a little watered down. Everything else was great. Fast, fast, fast service!

Rave for all the positive improvements. I experienced prompt, efficient service from Ray and noticed the entire wait staff worked as a team. Customers were greeted at the door, tables were promptly cleared, accommodations were provided and the restaurant was full on Saturday morning, with everyone getting excellent service. A gem in Douglas…congrats.

i understand it’s under recently new ownership, and it’s clearly working. still some growing pains, slightly understaffed but that’s perfectly understandable in the current economy. food is delicious, you may have to wait a little longer if it’s full, barista knows what they’re doing. lovely atmosphere in the historic gadsden hotel, a true gem in a town that seems to be moving ahead.

I’ve ordered food from them about 3 times now and all 3 times they didn’t have what I wanted available. Why have a menu if you can’t keep to it? Food was ok, I’ve had the shrimp alfredo, BLT and wings. Shrimp alfredo was bland and tasteless but it’s hard to screw up a BLT or covering wings with buffalo sauce although they managed to send me cole slaw with the wings instead of Bleu Cheese ??? Not sure what is a more haunting experience; the ghosts in the hotel or Cafe 333s lack of care.
