Ordered the lunch special – the price is right at $6 and it comes with your choice of a soda or an egg roll. The rice was okay – it was plain fried rice with nothing in it. I ordered General Tso chicken because it’s a staple and is usually pretty consistent. The General Tso chicken was very tasty, crispy and great flavor. The only negative was it was a small portion.

I was so happy to see that even during the pandemic, this restaurant was running with the same great quality that I have always loved. I ordered chicken fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, and crab Rangoons and they were all made with the best quality you could expect. I strongly suggest you eat here as you will not be disappointed.

My husband had Kung pow chicken and it was spiced just right. I had cashew chicken. We had two eggrolls. It was delicious! We are normally in Madison and they have happy wok there. This is real comparable to happy wok in Madison. If you’re not familiar with that, that’s all right. This was everything it should be. We ordered it, and it was ready for us to take it away in about 5 to 8 minutes. The food came with two sodas. Including a two dollar tip the whole thing was less than $20. It was fast, hot and absolutely delicious! We will come back and eat again at this place!

Hotwok is the best Chinese food place in Wausau. It has been my favorite since I was a little girl! I have had their number memorized since I was 10 just so I could order delivery for myself whenever I had extra money, lol. I still eat here ALL THE TIME , all these years later. Now I introduced my own son to hotwoks food and he’s just as big of a fan as I am!
