This Taco Bueno had a bad rating on Yelp but our experience was good! The place was very clean, everybody was nice and friendly, the food was fast, good and a reasonably priced! My one typical complaint is the Firehouse salsa is still a bit watery and bland (wish they had multiple salsa options like Rosa’s) and their guacamole isn’t anything special but at least they aren’t usually stingy. Otherwise everything was good!

Just Me
Ordered a Chicken Quesadilla and it was complete trash! Most of it was not edible and I also spit out most of it. It tasted burnt, hard, old and just not edible. I managed to eat a few edges of it but I mainly ate the hot sauce. Next time I’ll order just hot sauce for dinner because that’s what I ate.

Randy powers and Isaac are the best, they made my food for me even though I came 7 minutes before they closed Issac took my order and helped tremendously with recommendations. I never like Bueno until today this location is the best. Randy and Issac gave me the most professional and friendly service. I just didn’t want to leave. I felt like I ate the best food I have in a while and met great friends. Cheers to the both ( Randy powers and Issac giona) they have won me over. Promote these two.

I know Abileneans entertain the conspiracy that La Pop is a money laundering front, but for the love of all that is good, have you seen Taco Bueno? I am genuinely confused by how they continue to operate despite their misgivings. What kind of dark power backs their inexplicable survival? Their atmosphere and service is virtually non-existent, and their food gives school cafeterias a run for their money in the race toward the bottom. And their food is NOT EVEN AFFORDABLY PRICED. For all the above reasons, I find myself IMPRESSED, in fact, by their refusal to choke and die, and out of this admiration, I will continue to commit my occasional patronage for this establishment and its David v. Goliath story.

I tried this location again after I had a bad experience. This location has changed from about six months ago. The people that work there are always super nice now I do believe the owner is very involved as I see her almost every time I go around lunch. Thank you for getting this location cleaned up.

Service is everything even if food is so so. Young kid there now doesn’t know how to welcome customers. He doesn’t know how to open his mouth and speak at all. Rude is not speaking a word to your customer. Didn’t repeat the order, didn’t say thank you. Nothing but a depressing look as if he hates his job
