Loved everything (!) about our first of what will be many visits. Delicious authentic German food that made us (two Germans) very happy. A true reminder of our Oma’s kitchens from back in the day. Excellent beer selection. Beautiful patio. Very dog friendly. Easy parking. If you like real German food and appreciate a down-home family feel, you won’t be disappointed. Really friendly service. Our server, Jordan, even brought a water bowl for our dog – and asked his name & introduced himself to our pup. We had high hopes for Beda’s – and were very satisfied!

We stopped by for lunch. Food was excellent! Homemade, hot, and delicious. Loved the German beers. Also, for those with dogs — they have a great outdoor space (enclosed with heaters if it’s chilly) and brought water out for the dog. Service was A+. If we’re ever back in SLO, we’d prioritize coming here.

Just about as authentic as you will find for both German food and beer. Choose between sausage or schnitzel for your entree both made with several options and then add two great German sides. Awesome beer menu as well!

This place had the most authentic German cuisine I’ve had in the states. I appreciated all the options too, not just one or two things. I will definitely be back

Absolute German perfection the way Germans expect. Every dish we shared and every beer we drank was pure heaven. The service was prompt and kind, and the atmosphere matches its laid back calm and rustic beer garden vibes. A great place to come with or without children, indoor and outdoor covered seating and lots of beers on tap, and a few in bottles and cans as well.

Lovely selection of sausages, schniztels, and beers. The cheeses are delicious – our favorite was the Cambozola, which we put on the potato dumplings (Knödel) with stone ground mustard. The staff was friendly and prices were good for the amount of food and drink served

Kind service, the food arrived pretty fast and was very good. The schintzel was made very well, but needed some more salt/ seasoning (I did take the one without gravy tho).

Beda’s is fantastic. Since our favorite German restaurant in Solvang closed years ago, Beda’s has become a welcomed replacement. The Familien Platte (family plate) is excellent, with great options. Dining is casual, and so is the atmosphere. Pets are welcome in the patio area.
