One of the best lunch salads you’ll find in the Baton Rouge area is DeAngelo’s La Caprese with grilled chicken. While the presentation is different in each of their restaurants, the ingredients are consistently fresh, flavorful and very satisfying for the price.

Had the crab cakes and angel hair pasta. Food was excellent, service was prompt and courteous. Definitely a winner!

The food was amazing and the portions are huge. The facility is clean and so is the silverware (I didn’t have to ask for a different set). The staff could be a little more “awake”, but overall, my experience was pretty great.

Five stars for the quality of the Italian food, but a 3 for Ambiance because on a Saturday afternoon 4 children were running around the restaurant while three adult women and an elderly woman at their table and let them . We were eating. and when we addressed it the manager, we were brushed off and told that those guestswould be leaving soon meaning that we should put up with it. When we address the waitress, said she couldn’t do nothing about it.

The past few times I’d eaten at DeAngelo’s, I felt like the food just wasn’t what it used to be. But this time, they served much better Italian than my previous visits and had very attentive service. My only reservation is that the kitchen burned by super deluxe calzone, and I had to wait while everyone else at the table ate half their meal before mine got brought out. My wife had the chicken parmesan and especially enjoyed the garlic cheese bread that came on the side. After getting my food, we had a very pleasant lunch.

It’s obvious Louis doesn’t mind his stores anymore. The employees say he never comes by. The sensation salad has toasted almonds no more, even though the menu says toasted. The rustica bianco no longer has pieces of sausage. Just sausage sawdust. This place has gone downhill.

I just decided to stop in and try something different on Good Friday, instead of the traditional seafood. I enjoyed my dinner, apetizer stuff mushrooms; Canneloni, and for dessert Bread Pudding, which was awesome. I cannot forget about my waitress Kiara, thanks for providing wonderful service, the next time I dine at DeAngelo’s I will make sure I request Kiara as my waitress
