Schiano’s looks at first glance, a little Italian spot located near a grocery store. Walking in, it smells delicious as all the food is being prepared. You get a feeling that it’s a niche little spot in raleigh thay satisfies people trying to get a quick bite. Oh how wrong I was. It is absolutely wonderful. The perfect mixture of simplistic design paired with cooks who enjoy and take pride in what they do every day.

Schiano’s is the best NY style pizza available in North Raleigh. They are our go-to for delivery. Their lunch buffet is also incredible. If you are there for lunch, try the Buffalo chicken with peppers and onions. Awesome.

A Leesville institution for years. The folks there are super friendly and the food is hot homemade. FWIW there slices of pizza are the size of a 1/2 pizza. I’m not kidding. 1 piece will fill you, is think crust style but boy is it good.

TERRIBLE!!!! I went there at 12:10pm for the pizza buffet. No pizza seen at buffet. Waited 20 minutes for a half cheese half sausage to finally arrive. 15 minutes later, a half cheese half pepperoni arrives. There was only about 10 pieces of pepperoni on the 1/2 pizza. This was taken pretty quickly by the 6 people there. The pizza had little flavor but we were hungry. I asked if there were any more pepperoni pizzas coming out and she had to go ask the cook. I was then told it would be another 20-25 minutes. Really!?!? You offer a pizza buffet with no pizzas!

I wanted to like this place but it fell flat for me. The server was nice but overall the food lacked flavor. This is the kind of place that needs Gordon Ramsey to come tell them to get their lives together. The portions are too large. The meat sauce seemed watered down like they make it in large batches but didn’t get the ratio of seasoning right. The garlic bread was basically buttered bread with a light garlic flavor. My poor Caesar salad was over dressed. The chicken parmesan had too much sauce on it. They could benefit from a lighter hand sauce/dressing wise and a heavier one for flavoring. Perhaps they make great pizza.

So I picked up my order but when I got home our pizza had burnt sausage on it and the chicken breast for the chicken parm was burnt as well. What is so disappointing is that they knew it because they clearly saw it was burnt when they put it in the box. Threw the whole order away wasted $42 but won’t make that mistake again.
