Excellent dinner and service for our anniversary celebration. Prime rib and blackberry BBQ pork ribs were both perfectly cooked and tasty. Great wine choices and rich coffee to go with dessert. Classy and intimate setting, perfect for conversation while savoring the company.

Made two person reservations for 9:30. We were not seated till closer to 10. The restaurant was not busy at all. We then we’re not greeted by our waiter for another 15 minutes. When we ordered drinks we also ordered food. Another 10 minutes we received water and the “ bread”, which were kings Hawaiian rolls. Drinks came in, and were not correctly mixed which let to a very awful cocktail. Our appetizer of $16 calamari was rubber breaded. Think fish stick! The table next to us also returned theres due to the same issue. They finally told the kitchen to cancel their order and needed to leave. An hour had gone by before any mention of food would come out. We finally received our meal and thankfully the rib eye was cooked a beautiful rare and walleye was delicious. The. “mashed potatoes” were flakes. The “ maple honey carrots” were baby carrots with little flavor and cold. The $6 add of au gratin potatoes were dry and less then visually pleasing. The manager was present but never stopped at any table to apologize for delays, the bar tender was the only person to offer us any assistance. We didn’t leave till almost 11:30-12!

The food was fabulous. Waitress Sara was amazing.you get ten stars instead of five. Diamond Jo is the best restaurant in Iowa. The short ribs were melt in your mouth experience tender juicy flavorful. The restaurant is romantic and a joy to be in. Teamwork was amazing and the restaurant is leading the field in customer service food quality atmosphere and a great menu. Thank you for your hard work and gourmet food and great customer service. The workers were smiling today. Keep up the great work. I’ve never been so happy. Diamond Jo rocks.

We recently had a celebration. 20 members. It took way to long to get our food. Several people got the wrong steaks. A couple people had to wait 15 minutes longer than the rest of their party for their food. Our baked potatoes were cold. I wouldn’t make this a destination restaurant. Not worth the price that we paid.

Most definitely exceeded all expectations after reading some other (older) reviews. One of the best meals I’ve had eating out in a long time. The Philly cheesesteak and the margarita flatbread were FABULOUS! Clara our server was so great also. Will definitely come here the next time we come to the casino. I will even dip into my Gambling allowance to eat here again. A+

The best part of pur meal was the water. The best of our food was the shrimp queso and it was just okay. My sister got the chicken sandwich and the grill lines were very dark and the char was very prominent. I ordered the braised ribs. The carrots were completely inedible, which I mentioned to the waitress but I guess she didn’t care about my comment. She was nice enough to mention to a different table within ear shot that they only had 2 cooks in the kitchen and it was taking a long time to get food out, this was about 20 minutes into the wait on our appetizer. The service was very slow. In total spent almost 2 hours there. Our server some how found the time to have a 5-10 minute continuous conversation with another server. (Good for her. Sarcasm implied.) Unfortunately I don’t think I am interested in going back. Crescendo’s in Albert Lea is fairly comparable in price and is much better.
