This little place in Tempe is a hidden gem, very conveniently located close to the freeways, Arizona State University, and many office complex locations in the area. The food here is very tasty and reasonably priced, and I have never been disappointed with the service. Their fried rice is amazing, especially the Shrimp one (pictured below). I HIGHLY recommend this place to anybody that is hungry and craving authentic Thai food.

Ordered a noodle dish and the food was so hot it melted the styrofoam container and caused it to crack which in turn spilled all over the bag. I’m all for nice hot food but when it’s so hot it’s melting styrofoam that’s not a good thing. You should consider changing your containers to something that won’t melt.

We had a wonderful birthday celebration of my friend in this superb Thai restaurant. The service was good. We received our order within 10 mins. We ordered avocado Curry, Classic curry and pad Thai, all were really good in taste. I would suggest others to visit Sa Bai on the fly once because I truely loved the food and which will make me to visit it again to try out other food served here. Thank you Sa Bai on the fly!

Portions and temperature were great, everything seemed fresh. It just just lackluster overall flavor. Nothing tasted robust or deep or rich in flavor at all. Everything was just kind of bland. I e had pad Thai in mild and hot, the hot was just high level heat but not much flavor. We had pumpkin curry-bland. Had the chicken lettuce wraps that were very good!

Talk about your local food joint! This is a fantastic, family owned Thai food joint and I’m so happy we are neighbors! The Pad Thai noodles were to die for! The curry is great, ordered medium spicy, for fear of the extremely hot spicy, but the medium was perfect, and I will probably try hot next, as it was not too spicy at all! Ordered for takeout, takes less than ten minutes, you will not be disappointed.

Some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had and I think the best Thai tea. Be warned – the Thai hot is not “white ppl Thai hot” but actually real Thai hot, so if you are used to ordering Thai hot from other places and being fine I would eer on the side of caution and go for just hot. It was still really good, cleared out my sinuses and I might have shed a couple of tears but honestly no pain no gain lol.

I’ve ordered takeout from Sa Bai 2-3 times and have consistently been pleased! My meals have been ready for pickup quickly, and the portions are huge. For appetizers, I’ve tried the crispy spring rolls and crab wontons – both of which are good, though I probably prefer the wontons. The little salad with peanut dressing (that they serve with appetizers) is a nice touch. As far as entrees go, I’ve only ever ordered the Pad Thai from this restaurant, but I like it so much that I cant see why I’d order anything else. There are several other Thai places just as close to my house that I could order from, but I keep going back to Sa Bai because of positive past experiences. The restaurant is usually pretty empty inside when I’ve been by (last time it was completely dead), so perhaps takeout is the way to go.

Sa Bai on the Fly has amazing flavors and incredible prices. Their Sa Bai Sweet Curry contains a wonderful peanut curry base and is sure to please the curry lovers. I love the Pad Thai as well. I highly recommend trying this place if you love Thai.

We love this place!! I have been twice with my boyfriend, and twice was not disappointed. First I tried a fried rice dish, and yesterday had Pad Thai. Delicious! Especially because I am gluten free. The service is friendly, quick, and they give huge portions. We will definitely be back!

Ordered online and the food was prepared during my commute. I got green curry-a nice combination of the sweet coconut and spicy curry flavors with a nice array of colorful veggies including eggplant, mushrooms, carrots and more. I also ordered crab puffs which were pretty standard but came with a tiny cabbage salad with peanut dressing to fill what would’ve otherwise been an empty spot in the styrofoam. Sweet surprise.
