The food and service is awesome at My Mama’s Kitchen. If you’re in to Southern cooking look no further. Space is tight and on a hot day, you will be sweating. However when the food is this good you won’t be worried about the atmosphere. It is the food and service that brings flocks of people to the kitchen so if you go on time be prepared for lines and you may have to park a little bit further. My group was very satisfied. I had the cake burger, fries and banana pudding. It was all delicious especially the banana pudding. Give them a try, you will be pleasantly surprised!

wanted to try this place out, and finally made the drive out here. i wasn’t sure what I was expecting but it was pretty good. we walked in and the cashier found out it was our first time, and we were given free cornbread (was delicious). we ordered the drip sandwich (came with fries), mac and cheese, mango habanero wings, along with banana pudding. the sandwich was pretty good although it was messy. the mac and cheese was a bit garlicky for our liking, and the banana pudding was good, just very sweet. satisfied with the meal

We ordered from here for a work function – absolutely great flavors all around. Came back a few weeks later and actually went to the location. Super small storefront and limited parking with long wait times, these guys need a bigger location to accommodate their business.

Food was great , but as we were waiting the cashier was not professional. The cook had a dispute with another lady and went outside in his apron came back into the kitchen and did not wash his hands. The cook ended up saying he was leaving and they had to close early because of the issues going on with the cook. The cashier and the cook started disputing which was very unprofessional in front of customers! It was only 2pm at the time of our service, we ended up asking to have our food to go because the atmosphere was not kind.

The food and service is amazing here! Their BBQ wings are always their goto. I was recommended by a friend I worked with to try it out and the very first time I went I wasn’t disappointed. Then i ironically moved across the street from them and went a few times while living there. Fair to say I haven’t had an issue one time out of around the 10 times I’ve ate at this establishment. This is mainly a take out restaurant. I have never seen anyone eat in at this place but that’s fine there is more parking available to anyone that goes.

If you’re looking for locally owned quality food, check this place out! You order at the counter and there is seating available. I had “The Drip” and man did it have a kick. The Mac was great, pretty sure they put garlic in it. The prices might seem higher if you’re not from the area but it seems everything is expensive in Virginia Beach, and this food is high quality. All the staff was very friendly and the the cooks were working hard. Order ahead if you’re in a hurry, seems like this place is popular on Grubhub.

This catfish po boy and fries ain’t no joke. If you like catfish, none better. I mean this was so good I locked myself in my back room so no one could “get a piece”. And them fries, damnnnnn. Should be a six star. No joke. Go to my mamas, I guarantee it won’t disappoint.

I ordered online , 40 minutes or so before I arrived and they hadn’t even started my order. They were apologetic about it. I had the hotdog with the beans on it, this is my second time having the beans and I realized they always use red beans in the mix but they have been hard both times, so they’re clearly not cooking them long enough. So that’s something they should probably work out. But other than that the foods pretty decent. The blackest cook is a little weird. But for the most part they’re friendly.
