We almost went elsewhere but read that place’s reviews directing us to come here… good save! Our group is staying at the Decorah High Point Cabins for the weekend looking for local flavor. Boy, did we find it at the Old Rossville Store! From steaks to chicken to the Friday night cod it was all cooked and served to delicious perfection!

Largest fresh salad bar anywhere. Kudos to the chef, prime rib grilled and plated to perfection! Our waitress and server Derinda, was most friendly, engaging and accommodating as well as the entire staff. Must get there early as their great reputation fills the restaurant fast. Thanks for the great hospitality. Definitely revisiting soon!

The prime rib special was excellent! The atmosphere is very small town casual and the wait staff was incredibly friendly. They have a very nice little salad bar that comes with most meals, it has your normal fixings of potato and pasta salads, lettuce with various toppings and dressings, and two different kinds of soup. I got a baked potato as my vegetable of choice and it was cooked perfectly. The prime rib was seasoned quite well, had good flavor, and was served with au jus. A very good experience!
