We had dinner for the 1st time at Himalayas last night. It was a fantastic experience. The food was incredible and the family that runs it made us feel right at home. Even though they were having a graduation party for some Nepali students, we were seated and served quickly and comfortably. Turns out, we greatly enjoyed the energy of the students and wished them well in their futures. I would strongly recommend this establishment and look forward to our next visit – which will be soon!

I have been enjoying the lunch buffets at the Himalayas for years. Their food has always been consistently delicious and wholesome. It’s a place that I love to bring friends, knowing that we will enjoy courteous service and delicious food that we don’t have to wait for.

This is definitely my favorite restaurant in Boulder, and one of my favorite places in the world.

Enjoyed the simple lunch buffet with my sweetheart. The atmosphere was clean, cozy and welcoming. The service was joyful and attentive. The food selection was not giant, but everything I ate was delicious. Don’t let the appearance from the outside fool you, because the main restaurant area in the back is really well lit and accommodating .

I can’t believe there are TWO excellent restaurants in that crappy little mall, Sancho’s and Himalaya’s. 5 stars for both. Himalaya’s was cooked to perfection, just the right amount of salt and spice, charming atmosphere. I’ll be back A LOT. And I NEVER say that about restaurants. Been in Boulder 8 years and not thoroughly impressed by the food selection. These two places, just a walk from my home, have changed everything.

Great place, great people. I like lots of the items on the menu — Chicken Saag, Aloo Gobi, Chicken and Veggie Momos, Buffet at Lunch time for $8.95!, The Naan is made extra special with lots of love – I could eat that all day, Tandoori for Two is my favorite with chicken lamb and shrimp.

We used to love this restaurant when it was on 14th. We’re glad to see it back. The food was always excellent and still is. The atmosphere takes it down a notch. I also seem to remember them having both a lunch and dinner buffet, but now it is only a lunch buffet. Reasonable prices and sufficient service. The new location is only a few blocks away for us, so we’ll be heading over there for lunch somewhat frequently.

I eat here frequently, more than any other restaurant in Boulder. I love all their food and their lunch buffet has to be one of the best deals in town. If you are not eating here, you’re missing out.

This is a great place to meet a friend for lunch or dinner. It’s quiet enough to actually have a conversation. The food is good and healthy and the owners, Jit Gurung and Jaya Rai, are friendly and welcoming. They are natives of Nepal, educated in the US, and interested in lots of topics. They like to get to know their customers, and you can always have an interesting conversation with them. This is a good place to go if you want to feel special.

A place almost unnoticed for being inside a commercial plaza. Economic, good taste and quality.
