Stopped in for lunch and it was amazing! Hamburger Steak w/gravy and onions, Mac & Cheese, Creamed Potatoes, Lima beans, cornbread and sweet tea! Love this place, the staff are very friendly and there’s never a long wait.

My husband and I only came here because The Dinner Bell was over capacity, and we were in town to get tags renewed and stuff. We didn’t really like the menu options for the day, and when we finally decided on one over the other, they were out of it. The sweet tea was awful. The banana pudding was sweeter than the sweet tea. After looking at the actual menu, my husband got a club sandwich with fries. He said the fries tasted like they were cooked in the microwave frozen, and he asked for no mayo, and there was mayo on the sandwich. My plate was good as far as dressing cream corn and sweet potato casserole. Our waitress was also not very good. It is very unlikely we will return.

If you want a TRUE home-cooked meal like granny used to make then COME HERE!!! I can not say enough great things about this place. My friend suggested we come here for lunch a couple of days ago and I knew it was “home cook & southern” food but I didn’t have high hopes as A LOT of places try to do the same thing and don’t accomplish that same “at home” taste I LOVE. Anywho, we stopped in here and right off the rip I knew it had to be AMAZING because it was 1 o’clock and it was almost completely full… on a Tuesday!!! We sat wherever we wanted instead of being sat by a host (which I love). We weren’t handed meals because the meals of the day were posted all around the building on a white board so they can erase things as they run out. I got a drink, entree, 2 sides, cornbread and a dessert for under $11!!!!! I could not believe it!!! The food I had tasted just like my granny’s cooking so I give the food a 10/10. The atmosphere reminded me of my hometown and my waitress was absolutely incredible. Needless to say, I will be back… often!!!

Best Food ever!!!!!!!!! Highly Recommend the Chicken & Dressing, Meatloaf and the Free! Banana Pudding and Free! Big Sweet Tea so makes it worth it. Everyone seems very! nice that works there. I’ve always had A Great Visit while there. They just close at 2pm daily. Wished they stayed open a bit longer. Thursday’s is when they serve Chicken & dressing.

We had a great late breakfast! Reasonably priced with friendly service. We were traveling on Interstate 65 and had to drive into town about 4 miles but it was well worth the short detour. Lunch menu looked fabulous also, veggies and home cooking..mmm mmm! Will stop by again on another trip. 🙂

I ordered the western omelette, grits, and toast. I also added some salsa and sour cream. It was, hands down, the best breakfast I’ve had in a very long time!

Down home great food, historic atmosphere, very friendly people! I had beef tips and rice, fried okra, slaw and cornbread with homemade chocolate pudding for dessert. I plan to go back as soon as I get a chance!
