Checked out this new place for the first time today. Service was great. Ambience was nice. Lot of variety on the drink and food menus. However, the food was a little disappointing. After seeing the pictures online, I was excited to try the Chicago Beef Grilled Cheese. It sounded and looked amazing, but the taste of the beef was more like pot roast than Italian beef. This sandwich has a lot of potential though, so hopefully they can tweak the recipe to improve the taste of the beef. Otherwise, the fries and house sauce were very good.

Went to check this place out after golf. We tried the burger, grilled cheese and beef , and pork shoulder sandwiches. For sides: fries, Mac n cheese, sweet potato tots. All were amazing. 3 entrees and 4 drinks ran us $99, so pricing but worth it. Excellent selection on craft beers and specialty drinks. I like the way the bar is laid out. Staff is excellent. If you went to Keg and Kernel m, you will text recognize some faces. This place is an excellent addition to the downtown improvements.

Had the great time here sitting on the patio. Service was fast. Drinks were inventive and tasty. Huge whiskey and beer list. Enjoyed the beef grilled cheese. The Au jus added a nice oil/vinegar favor. The honey hot chicken had a nice heat level and good crunch on the chicken. Fries and tots were both crispy and well seasoned. We enjoyed dipping them in the “grove sauce”. Will definitely be going back.

The food is amazing! The staff care and want to do well by their patrons and it is a welcome breath of fresh air to the food/drink/tavern options in DeKalb. They are also working hard to build partnerships within the community offering cross promotional discounts with events and having a District 428 Happy Hour(s) on Fridays! I love what they have brought to the community and look forward to watching them grow!

Nice ambiance, service was slow but that’s okay if not in a hurry. Wanted to order the pan seared cod, but they ran out (it was only 6:30pm on a Friday). So I got the haddock instead. 3 very small pieces, a bit dry and came out cold. Maybe an off night so I’d be willing to give it another try. The salmon flatbread was very good.

We went here for lunch on a Saturday, and we were all incredibly impressed. The four of us in our group all had different things (shrimp pro boy, burger, steak frites, and chicken sandwich) and none of us even thought to take a picture because we ate our food so fast. The service was great, and they even had a great selection of beers on tap. We will definitely be back!
