For starters they are so friendly and nice! The servers are so quick and so nice! Such a pleasant place to eat! The food was beyond good! They were so generous with the food and it was so good! Paying is so simple, can be done on your phone! We had our anniversary and they were so nice and gave us a nice cake with a candle on top! (They also sing but we didn’t want to).

Very pleasant atmosphere and very nice wait staff. Multiple people in my large party ordered a salad with protein top. They were all upset that the salad was “wet” and they left it over only eating the protein on top. I ordered the first item on the menu… a shwarma platter. I don’t believe that I was served shwarma as it appeared to be Jerusalem mix without the onions. Totally bland and not like any shwarma I have been served before. Those ordering various types of grilled chicken platters were very pleased.

I’ve been here half a dozen times and so you know it was good as I am a repeat customer. Tonight it wasn’t the same. Our wait staff described the Crispy Cauliflower as fried. We envisioned Cauliflower poppers and the dish came out sautéed. Disappointing. We asked to switch the order to fries and were accommodated, but a bit late in the meal.

In terms of food, this place is really good and probably better than similar places in Englewood Cliffs. My main issue is that it opens during the week for lunch at noon and takes a while to get your food if going for a work lunch.

I came here with my family yesterday and what a treat. The Mediterranean kosher eatery is is one of those places that hits the trifecta of good service, atmosphere, and food for a decent price. While by no means upscale, Tavlin is suitable for meetings and dates. I got the shawarma platter which was seasoned perfectly and came with a delicious herb sauce. Another must-try here is the chummus. You’ll thank me later. By all means, if you’re hungry and you know it, come to Tavlin
