So, this is my second review for Luigi’s. My first was 4 or 5 stars, but regrettably not this time. Although the Italian subs we ordered had a good flavor, they lacked substance…..Meat to be precise. What happened? My hungry husband wasn’t happy. C’mon guys really?

Do not sleep on their pasta dishes. We got 20 mild wings, Tortellini Sophia Loren (best one), Gnocci Genoese and Penne Alla Vodka. Wings were good. The pastas all came with bread and small house salad. The pastas stole the show: all 3 were amazing, flavorful and large portions.

This is the best Italian food in the area! Their pizza is always perfect and they do have some strange ones that are very good as well (Chicken Parmesan Pizza) But one of my favorites is the Calamari Siciliano which comes in a red sauce with capers and olives. This is the one place I miss the most once we moved. Every time I go back I have to stop in and get their food

I have been a customer for a year, and I have never had a problem with the staff. I was always polite to them and received the same treatment. However, today when dealing with the owner, Luigi, he was absolutely disgusting and he kept yelling at me, cutting me off, and said he didn’t want to hear it. Very immature, embarrassing, and psychotic. Would he care if another man talked to his daughter that way? Don’t get mad at me because you have high turnover and are overworked. His food isn’t even great. If you are going to own a business, hire employees, and work with other people, you have to know how to communicate well, not be abusive and throw a temper tantrum just because you don’t have a boss.

Great food. Cheese Steak sandwiches filled with lots of real meat and a decent roll as the bread is just as important as the filling. First time we visited we had a calzone and a stromboli. Unless you are a big eater, a large will feed 2 people easily.
