Our waitress was phenomenal. Great service, great attitude and very friendly with recommendations. Unfortunately, the chef was not great by any standard. First off, the Nachos came out with nothing on them, except cheese. No chicken, no tomatoes, no onions. Menu states it comes with cheese onions and tomatoes. 2/3 things missing. Haddock Plaki came out, missing 2/5 things it’s supposed to come with. We sent back the nachos, but I already felt bad about asking for a remake when the chef clearly isn’t making an attempt to leave a lasting impression. When the menu says one thing, but you miss parts….there’s something wrong. For a typical Sunday afternoon lunch at 1:30, this food was abysmal. Never again Old Town Kosta’s.

In a word, deplorable. I came hoping for a nice meal to cap off a day that was nothing short of awful. Unfortunately it only furthered this experience. The fettuccine Alfredo reminded me of my cats dinner from last night. My pizza was severely undercooked, and my mozzarella squares were almost as watery as my chocolate milk. Will not be coming back.

I am new to the Old Town/Orono area and have been searching for a place with a welcoming atmosphere and an at home type of vibe – I think I found it. Although they were obviously busy, and seemingly understaffed, the bar manager Daniel was attentive and welcoming and always made sure myself and all the other patrons were well taken care of. Drinks were poured and served promptly and food was delivered fresh and exactly as I requested it. As the saying goes “there is only 1 chance to make a first impression”. Well, a great first impression was made! I think I found my new watering hole.

Our waitress was phenomenal and the atmosphere was great, but my food had a huge piece of hard plastic in it. I ordered the Greek burger and took a bite and had some type of plastic piece cooked within the burger. With the size of it, I have no clue how the kitchen could’ve missed this. The waitress didn’t charge me for the burger and offered to have the kitchen make me something else, but I honestly didn’t dare. Seems like they have a neglectful kitchen staff.

Kostas was a pleasant surprise. My wife and I took our son out for lunch as he really doesn’t like his college dining options. Our food was cooked perfectly. My son really enjoyed his gyro. He said the lamb was tender and cooked perfectly. My wife was highly complimentary of her BLT, that it actually had a good amount of crispy bacon and was the star of the sandwich. I had the crispy chicken sandwich and it was excellent. Our server was cheerful and attentive.

I always have a good time at Kosta’s. The prices are reasonable, with great daily specials. Food has always been delicious, and the drinks, perfect. Enjoy socializing with Kyle from the kitchen. Kelci behind the bar is very friendly and sociable as well as efficient and responsible with each customer she serves. Whether I’m coming in with friends/family, or by myself, I always greatly enjoy coming here.

I ordered the Grilled chicken dinner which wasn’t worth the price I paid, the chicken was dry and the portion for the price was very small. I received my meal then had to ask for silverware. Between my son and I the bill was over $60 which was way more than what it was worth. We was very dissatisfied from the time we sat down to the time we left. (2 hours)

God awful. Truly. My mozerella squares came freezing cold. Not just normal cold from travel. My spinach dip was cold. I spent more money to upgrade and get pita with it. I received chips. My chicken wrap came full of onions, which isn’t an ingredient listed as being in the wrap. And my garlic bread was soggy and wet.
