Drove 1.25 hour to have the Hainanese chicken rice. It didn’t disappoint! Chicken is tender and juicy! Rice is flavorful cooked with chicken juice and not oily at all! Chicken soup was tasty.

Best Hainan Chicken around. Juicy dark meat, the ginger sauce tastes just perfect; with the chili sauce just the right kick. The fragrant rice is not too oily, well compliment the chickie. Been there 3 times this week alone. You won’t be disappointed.

Chicken rice has become a must try whenever we’re in SoCal. This is the third Cluck2Go location we’ve tried. It says “original” on the sign so maybe it is? It was definitely nicer and much more spacious inside, equipped for dine-in . Same simple menu in all their locations which makes it really convenient for slow pokes like me. The single portions were really sizable and moist but I thought the mixed hainanese chicken rice was missing a bit of juice so was not quite as tasty as the other locations but still yummy. The accompanying chili and green onion ginger sauces are always so good! Great quick service as expected. Kind of funny watching the bus persons drag the big garbage can across the restaurant to clear each table.

This place is a hit or a miss. When they get things done right the chicken, rice and veggies here are quite good but when they don’t it can be quite Shabby or average. They don’t follow orders here though too well. The veggies sometimes have too much garlic in them but if you ask for half garlic you get 3 pieces on the inside instead. I had dig and look inside to find the actual 3 pieces. 4 star place when done right and 2.5 stars when Chef is not Consistent.

Let’s say I have tried Hainan Chicken with Rice a couple of times before and I was largely disappointed, thanks to a certain restaurant in Alhambra: Their portion was tiny, the chicken was bland and I didn’t like the “salad” that came with it.

So good. So juicy! The chicken that is… I got the dark meat so I can’t confirm if the white meat is juicy or not. Service is decent. They returned to refill our waters pretty consistently in the beginning and made sure we enjoyed our meals. The chicken with scallions was ok but I prefer the original the best.

Great place to go for Hainan chicken. It’s my new favorite place. I used to go to Savoy but not anymore. Good portions and they give you soup. Staff was friendly enough for a Chinese place. We waited about 5 minutes for a table. Ginger sauce has a lot more Ginger other places. A must try if you like Hainan chicken rice!

It’s 9/30/2020 today. The restaurant is open for pick up only, no dine-in or outdoor option. This is the original Cluck2go location and the foods taste much better than the other locations. I’m ordering for a family of 4 and should have order the combo B. Plenty of tasty chicken in their hainan chicken rice (got to order the dark meat!), the curry chicken is spicy just enough for me.
