Food here hits above its weight class. Really pleased with it. Wasn’t overly expensive, even for the quarter. To kill some time one afternoon we stopped in for pulled pork loaded fries and a grilled cheese and loved them both. Bar service was fast, a/c blowing cold, and I love a good dive bar hangout overall. Will definitely pop back in for a repeat visit soon.

Backspace was such a vibe. One of my friends saw the typewriters in the window and we had to go in. Ordering was quick and easy. The atmosphere was perfect for a bunch of English nerds and photography lovers. Everyone loved their food. They offer a scaled down menu but it was perfect for a quick lunch.

It was great to find a place with vegetarian options. This is a cool bar with a good selection of beers and bourbons on offer. It’s right on the edge of the French Quarter so really easy to get to on foot. I enjoyed my ‘grown up grilled cheese’ and my husband had a friend chicken and bacon burger. The barman was helpful and made good suggestions for drinks.
