We’re not some world-wide franchise with aspirations of global dominance. And, our restaurant isn’t run by bean counters (aka accountants). We’re more interested in bean pickers and locally sourced produce from this community. And speaking of community, that’s what we are really about. We pride ourselves in being members of the greater Columbia and Lexington Community. We support our local businesses, and we support our local schools. We are a part of the fabric made up of the families that call this part of the country home.
Now, family, there is a really important thing to us. Even our name, “Big Tuna” is the affectionate nickname of the owner’s son. It’s that kind of place – a place built by our family

We went there on a Saturday night to watch the band. We had called ahead to get a reservation, and they had our table set aside. As we sat down, the hostess actually came by to insure that we were the correct party and that somebody didn’t inadvertently take our table. we were greeted promptly and friendly by our server. They were somewhat understaffed, but I still gave them five stars for service due to everybody, working hard, trying to ensure that all of the customers were taken care of.

My son, daughter-in-law and I had a late lunch here yesterday. The food was excellent! I had the tri-tip steak (my first time) and really loved it. My daughter-in-law got the tuna and raved about how perfectly cooked it was. My son had the salmon which was great too. The chef and waitress very warm and friendly.

Really liked this place. It has reasonably priced, upscale food, in a relaxed atmosphere. The owner is very personable, talked me into trying some of his favorite beers and signature dishes and the recommendations were appreciated and accurate. Nice selection of craft beers on draft, lots of space inside, and I am looking forward to trying other menu items in the future, like the mesquite roasted chicken, or steaks or grilled salmon. We were there early on a Sunday for lunch and I ended up having the steak and cheese sandwich, and it was real steak, on a nice roll, with french fries that were seasoned, but not excessively. The staffing was a little below what is needed, but they told us that up front and that helps temper expectations and allow a little more patience, and ultimately we didn’t feel we wanted for anything in that area. I wandered around and found pool tables and some video games in some extra rooms on each end of the building so you could hang out and shoot a game drinking your favorite craft beer. There is also a nice outdoor seating area under cover. The bar/restaurant is in a nice setting near (but not on) Lake Murray, in a mostly residential area.

This place was great! Went there last night with family and the service and food was amazing. I got the vegetarian burrito, and honestly, it was the best burrito I’ve ever had. Some of us got the ribs and were pleasantly surprised at how big they were! The owner, I’m assuming, came around 2 or 3 times to make sure we were satisfied. He brought some dry rub for the ribs, which was a hit! The prices were reasonable as well. Atmosphere was fun!

Was a bit busy, but short handed on wait staff so a little slow. Server was extremely pleasant and concerned about our needs and satisfaction of our food. We came to see Mary with DUBA for her birthday!

Have been coming frequently the past few weeks to play the pool tables and always have enjoyed my my time there until last night, I have always respected staff and the establishment making sure I clean up after myself and respect the equipment, however last night I was accused of “underage drinking” by the owner who claims I took a drink of my buddies beer, I do not drink nor am I under age however before I could explain myself I was repeatedly yelled at to “get the hell out and never come back”, the owner would not show us or review the alleged camera footage or even let me have a simple civil conversation with him, I am deeply disappointed as I really enjoyed this restaurant, if the owner is reading this please just respond with the camera footage and settle all of this I would appreciate it

Fabulous waitress, great food the burger was really good service with a smile the only downside was it looks like it could use a bit of modernisation inside was a bit shabby for want of a better word. But don’t let that put you off the food more than made up for that and i shall be going again
