Came from 3 counties away for “NEW PANCAKE TACOS”. We ordered the Strawberry Cheesecake. Waitress said they can’t make them, they have not had any cream cheese for a couple of days now. So, we went to Crackle Barrel and ate Strawberry Cheesecake pancakes. Check out the pic from the fast service and delicious food from Crackle Barrel.

I’m not sure what was going on the day we went. We were told it would be a 10 min wait. It ended up being 45 min. That would have been fine if they just said it was a long wait. It seemed they were sitting the dining room in waves. Over half the main dining area was empty. We assumed they might be short on servers or cooks. The host seemed like he needed additional training.

The food was just ok. There is a special going on for all you can eat pancakes. We didn’t order their special, but what we got were dry crusty reheated pancakes. We sent them back to be redone. The server was very nice. Not sure if it was just that particular restaurant or company changes but were not impressed.

Was surprised but delighted n the newly redone IHOP in Oboro. We hadn’t been there for awhile & I’m SO glad we came by!!! It looked as if the interior had been redone & I know the menus were. The beef & onions I had were really good & husband’s was too. Hurrah for IHOP!

Miserable. Got seated ok. Had to flag down a server after sitting there for over 20 minutes. They acted as if we weren’t there. Others around us, who came after we did, were being served…we were ignored. Finally placed an initial order for beverages… after another 10 minutes no drinks. Walked out…no service…no order…no sale…no return…no improvement from previous visit months ago…a bad experience then and nothing has changed. Not very customer friendly. Tried to reach manager…you got it “not available”.

Would’ve given 5 stars but had to wait almost 45min for our food. Our waiter was very very nice and apologized for the delays many times. I’d go back and give it another shot.

So we waited about 20 min to get seated. Which is fine for a Saturday 10am. Turnover rate for the tables is bad. 45 minutes for them to make an omelet and pancakes. Instead of getting an IHOP round omelette, it comes out flat. Pancakes came out paper thin. Bacon has no flavor. Soda’s we’re all nearly flat. Drink selection limited. The only thing the place has going for it is that it’s clean. Told waitress pancakes were razor thin. She said sorry and walked off unconcerned. Didn’t get a chance to express my critique on everything else. I waited so long for an IHOP here. Love the Colorado omelette, country fried steak, and pancakes. Unfortunately I cannot get that here.

We arrived at this IHop somewhere around noon today, July 9th. Was told upon being seated it would be about 35 minutes for our food. At approximately an hour and a half later, we were told that computers dealing with tickets were down and that they were verbally giving orders to chefs. After seeing a large group seated after us and served, we were told that our order had just been read to the kitchen. We decided to leave due to traveling and had already lost valuable time. We left our waitress a tip. We had a 6 and 8 year old with us that were very disappointed. We love IHop but will pass this one up the next time we are traveling thru Owensboro.
