Today felt like sushi day, found this the other day while looking for a new juice bar very quiet street, I past it a few times without even noticing. Well I only post if I’m impressed the quality of the sushi was better than most of the upscale sushi restaurants I’ve been too. I’m giving it a 4 stars just because the service wasn’t great and they didn’t have adequate temp it’s been a hot summer and a fan isn’t efficient. I was a bit uncomfortable. But the meal itself speaks volumes big portions big lunch menu a good pick up take out for next time.

If you are looking for an affordable sushi spot then this place might be of interest to you. You can get 3 rolls for $15. Asakuma’s specialty rolls are slightly cheaper then most, and the portions will satisfy most for the price. This might sound like an absolute steal, but once you try it, you can tell the quality is lacking.

Food was done quickly. But the QUALITY was lacking. Rolls did not taste fresh. Baked rolls had ZERO presentation. Looked more like Tex-Mex mush. Miso soup was mainly all broth…can I please get some ToFu in my Miso soup? Disappointed for the price we paid for.

Had the most dissatisfying delivery from them. Expected more from a restaurant in Beverly Hills. The agedashi tofu was missing the tsuyu dipping sauce, which literally gives the dish any flavor. Without it, I just have flavorless fried tofu. Then the Venice Roll came completely deep fried. The fish was 100% cooked. The fish was not fresh. It’s extremely misleading and confusing in the description because it says “whole tempura” which I thought there was tempura inside. Photo next to this roll was fresh! Not fried! Will not be ordering from this spot.
