The food is excellent and has authentic Korean food served here. Prices were around the $10+ range for a small entrée. The bowls start at $11 and the large size was around $13+. Their house sauce is their Korean BBQ a little spice with some sweetness, which is what I enjoy–recommend their sauced fried chicken entrée. My companion got the cup-bap (#13). He said it had an unique taste, that wasn’t super spicy. His dad got the Chi-Bop (which is the Korean BBQ/house sauce) and liked it. They both got larges and the portion size was huge.

I needed to review this place even though I never leave reviews. This place is the loveliest mom and pop shop, I’ve been here multiple times and it’s always pop up front and mom in the back whipping up the deliciousness. The ramen is light, flavorful, and spicy; it’s perfect for any hot craving, and just imagine eating it during winter. The fried chicken bowl may be the best korean fried chicken taste I’ve ever had, it goes perfectly with the rice. Not to mention they have the only korean corn dogs in town. I believe everyone should try the half and half because the cheese pull is made for an instagram post. Please try, highly recommend. Great service, was provided with everything I was searching for.

JUMAK brings the traditional South Korean corner restaurant to Evansville. JUMAK carries a variety of famously familiar dishes that you can find at diners, food courts, and street vendors across South Korea. Classic staples are served up by walking to the counter and picking from their offerings on a large menu displayed on the wall behind the register. You will order, receive a number that will be called when your food is ready, and take a seat at a nearby table to watch a K-Drama on the TV as their cook prepares your meal.

Outstanding food. The 2 meals we had were excellent with just the right amount of spice heat. The restaurant is very basic but clean and functional. I’m looking forward to trying some of the other menus items. If you like Korean food you must try Jumak.

The young woman behind the counter was helpful but I said I wanted no meat and got Ramen with bits of beef in it. I’m not vegetarian so I ate around them. It was ok. My husband got the seafood soup. There were 3 shrimp, 2 oysters, and pieces of octopus which he didn’t eat. He didn’t love the broth. He got a side of fish cake which he didn’t eat after one taste. I got the spicy cucumbers which we both enjoyed. They charge for a glass of tap water. There was a rude tall man working there who appeared to disrespect women. I dont know if we will be back.
