Wow! We’ve been wanting to try this place for years as Big Rapids is the perfect place to stop on our way from Grand Rapids to Traverse City. We finally made it happen with timing and couldn’t be more in love with this place. Nawal not only made some of the best Mediterranean food we’ve ever had, she was so kind and welcoming to us! We had the Shawarma platter with lamb and chicken, the lamb shank, baklava, a peanut butter cupcake, and delicious wine and Turkish coffee! Everything was incredible. We begged her to start a restaurant in Traverse City! Definitely try this spot out! You won’t regret it.

Such a hidden gem in Big Rapids! We always enjoy visiting. Today my husband had the Chicken Gnocchi Soup and he said it was the best soup he has ever had! I enjoyed the Lamb Gyro lunch combo. We all had the lemonade and took cupcakes to go.

Exceptional. Truly fantastic! From the atmosphere, to the super friendly service and the amazing food, Nawal’s is my new favorite place for date night (or girls night out, or really any time you are hungry!). I ordered the champagne chicken (which was the special for the night) and it was absolutely amazing. Seriously, go visit. You will NOT regret your decision!

The Hibiscus tea was very refreshing, the hummus was nice and garlicky. Ordered the Chicken shawarma. It was very favorable. Seasoning was on point. Everything was fresh. What a great find in Big Rapids Michigan. The owner is respectful, nice and the employees interact well with customers. They are a not to be missed spot if you are in the area.

I had a Salted Carmel cupcake, and it was, by far, the best tasting cupcake I’ve ever had. My in-laws brought them on a visit, and they were a day old. It was still moist, delicious, and decadent. I had cupcakes fresh from Sweet by Holly in Jacksonville, FL, and they don’t even come close. I look forward to trying other flavors the next time I am in the area.

Awesome place! Food was very good, the chicken shawarma was especially great! Service was above and beyond, the lady preparing food and taking orders (owner?) was incredibly friendly and attentive and made our table feel at home ❤️ The restaurant interior is very elegant with cool paintings and plenty of room / tables.
