At our Kanawha City, WV location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Came to get catfish and they were out. We both got batter dipped fish and it was so dry and hard that we thought it was chicken. The fried okra was cold and hard as well. The slaw was good.

My very first time ever visiting this place.. we was at the dmv for 2 hours.. and me being 31 weeks pregnant.. me and the old man stopped for a bite to eat.. I order the 4 piece chicken strip. With Mac and cheese and baked potato n Dr pepper the pop was flat no taste the chicken was dry and hard.. Mac n cheese was cold hush puppies was doeie not done.. and not to mention my man’s plate he had shrimp it was cold n hard and nasty.. same for the hush puppies the slaw wasn’t fully set up.. n they didn’t bother to offer.. any sauce for my chicken the workers acted like they didn’t wanna be their… “was only their to collect a check..” very rude.. I don’t think I will never come back to this place 25 dollars. Went down the drain… ATTENTION PEOPLE THIS NAME UNDER MY REVIEW CONTACTED ME. AND SAID THEY WAS GONNA SEND ME VOUCHERS FOR THE FLUCKED UP FOOD I GOT SERVED N THEY LIED.. IM AM GONNA CALL HEALTH INSPECTION OR WHO EVER I NEED TO TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS

Usually a good place to eat, but today, what an experience. My wife and I ordered our meals, and was enjoying our fish, when my wife showed me something that she pulled out of the fried batter. It was a hair, but no ordinary hair from someone’s head, it was a nasty pubic hair. Of course, I have a pretty good stomach, but on the other hand my wife does not, she rushed to the restroom vomiting her food up, and I had to make several stops on the way home vomiting. The clerk offered to make us another meal, but I declined, we did receive a full refund. You better make sure your cooks keep their hands out of their pants and wash them periodically throughout the day. Stopped here weekly, but not no more. Don’t want to even give them a star, but I have to, to post anything..

It’s ok place to get a quick bit to eat to go. But I dine in and I seen a few things that could use some improvements. I would say that the macaroni and cheese is not macaroni and cheese. More like yellow soup with noodles. Do not recommend.
