I learned about tavern style Chicago thin crust on TV and we were traveling near Hickory Hills. I searched for this specific pizza and Pizza Castle was one of the choices on our route, just off the highway. What a treat! Pizza was amazing and so was the Italian Beef dipped with mozzarella and a side of jardiniere (sp?) peppers. The staff was great, Carryout customers picking up their pies, store was clean and neat. We sat outside at patio tables enjoying the evening breeze. Multiple families arrived to eat while we were there. I now know why they’ve been in business 50 years.

After hiking at Swallow Cliff we stopped by Pizza Castle because of the good reviews, the reviews are definitely spot on! We tried their plain cheese and sausage pizza slice combo which came with fries and soda…Everything was delicious. The restaurant is very clean and cozy. Great customer service as well! Definitely coming back if we’re ever in the area.

Great little pizza joint that comes with excellent service. Very casual atmosphere. But perfect for our needs. We enjoyed cheese pizza and a peparoni pozza and mozzarella sticks. All food was prepared well and tasty. The staff working that Friday evening were kind, smiling and attentive.

Just as good as I remember when they were on 55th Street. We used to order from them at least once a week if not more back then. The pizza was delicious, tastes the same as it did in the 70’s. Nice to see the tradition continues. I’m glad I reconnected with one of the best pizza places on the south side.

One of the best places to stop and eat, staff is super friendly and polite. I’m not big on sausage (me and my kids are pepperoni people) but their sausage pizza is amazing, thin crust is everyone’s go to but the double dough is a classic! I recently tried the spinach and garlic and OMG! Game changer for me. I’ve tried almost everything from here from wings to burgers and appetizers I wasn’t ever disappointed.
