I stopped by for a beer because this is the “Elk #9 Bar” from Twin Peaks Season 3. This is you classic local dive bar. The bartender was friendly. The beer is cheap, cold and good! I only stayed for a beer before moving on, so maybe if I was there at another time for longer my review would be different… but for my purposes it was perfect.

The reason I gave Smokey Joe’s Tavern 2 stars instead ,4 or 5 is because of the service. Let me explain. Our club new we where coming here back in May, as well as the tavern. Our club Vice President even called Tuesday night to confirm they knew we were coming. We arrived between 1 & 1:30pm yesterday, (Wednesday) and Only 1 (ONE) employee! She was the bartender and cook. We had between 25 & 30 people in our group. The gal working even mentioned maybe she should call her boss, we all said yes. She said no, it’s the 4th of July and she didn’t want to disturb them. That being said it took about 90 minutes for the firs set of orders to arrive to our group. Some of the people in our group didn’t get what they wanted because she ran out of bread and onion rings. Almost 2 hours later the rest of the orders arrived. Some of our group didn’t get their food until it was almost time to leave, 3:15pm! The bacon cheeseburger I had was homemade and delicious as well as the fried pickle chips. We would like to come back next year, providing they have more help.

Awesome grub at a great price and the bartender was awesome and friendly as well. Had a good chat with people we didn’t know and our 1st visit there. Will be our place to get grub and a drink when we are in town.

Hard to get food… But can’t blame em since owners don’t hire Cooks or bar backs. Atmosphere is great. Bartenders are super friendly. There’s pizza across the road that they don’t mind if you bring in.

We showed up at 3:00pm on a Sunday and it’s closed. Sign says “sorry!” They are also closed Monday Tuesday Wednesday. Seems like nobody feels like working, so we won’t bother going back.

I never go out of my way to write reviews. However, my experience here was awful. The old woman working there was just terrible to us. There was about 3 people in there and she acted as if she was slammed.
