This restaurant deserves a better rating. They serve pretty authentic northern Chinese food. My favorite is braised pork bone (酱骨架) which paired well with beer. But it’s on Chinese menu only on Chowbus not on English menu from its website so it’s hard to recommend this dish to my American friends who don’t speak mandarin. (Maybe I missed it when I checked the menu).

A big disappointment! Used to be our go to place for Chinese under 2 previous owners for about twenty years. Was delicious, now is so authentic that we don’t recognize the dishes! Have tried several times to give it a chance. Used to be clean and friendly. Not so much anymore! Not recommended. Sad. Hope more friendly people take it over soon and cook delicious mainstream food with authentic dishes as well!

It used to be good but now it is so so horrible. The portions are so small. We had a party of 7 and we couldn’t even each get a bite out of a dish.. the stuffed pancakes are ridiculous too. There were barely any meat and it’s outrageously expensive. The dining area and kitchen are extremely dirty too. The chef kept coughing while stir frying. And they force a 15% tip on you with absolutely no service. We left the restaurant felt hungry, disgusted and cheated and will never ever go back. These people are not honest and clean. I don’t understand how it’s still up and running.

The new owner, especially at the front desk is very rude. Their food is okay, but they don’t deserve any customers at all! Don’t come here if you want to be served nice and sweet. They even speak bad Chinese and always angry towards pickup. Their prices are insane!

This place charges a mandatory 15% tips based on AFTER TAX prices, and the service attitude sometimes is okay but sometimes is HORRIBLE. The taste of dishes is also very inconsistent: previous times delicious but this time is just so-so. And if you want your customers to get beverages themselves from fridge and you don’t even do the bare minimum of service I DONT UNDERSTAND why you are still charge that tip?

The food was okay, but some dishes were too salty. The main problem was that I ordered two pork and vegetable buns, but they gave me 2 lamb buns. We are allergic to lamb, and due to their careless services, we had a bad experience with the buns. Moreover, it’s extremely overpriced, and the mandatory 15% tip just made me feel “unfree” in this free country.

This restaurant is great authentic northern Chinese food. If you are looking to order beef with broccoli, general tso’s, or lo-mein you have come to the wrong restaurant. The new owner does not speak English and they have a hard time accepting orders from people with English because of this, but they specifically cater to the Chinese community here in Columbus. I love their brisket with tendon and potatoes and their pork belly in brown sauce. They also have a great sour and spicy potato noodle dish. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Columbus and because of this restaurant I no longer even think of “fried rice” or “Lo-mein”. I want the real stuff
