Walked in with my friends and I first time going to eat at Johnny’s Pizza . We were greeted by Abby and Emma helped us with the order. We got a cheese pizza and a pepperoni pizza with the Buffalo Shrimp. The buffalo shrimp wasn’t the best but the cheese pizza makes up for it.

Went in for lunch on a Sunday and it was basically empty. The pizza was great though, and with the lunch special, it was a great price! For a total of 4 slices (which are very big) and 2 fountain drinks, it was just $15. The lunch special currently costs (as of 7/30/2023) $7.58 after tax for 2 slices with 1 topping each and 1 drink.

Massive pizza slices, nice cashier, but wish he or someone would keep the table tops cleaned rather than just playing on the computer. Even the owner being there didn’t seem to notice all the dirty tables and an employee with nothing to do.

Johnny’s is easily now my favorite pizza in Raleigh. As a native New Yorker, I know pizza. Johnny’s manages to deliver a crispy thin NY crust, light on the oil, a perfect cheese pull, a sauce that lacks high acidity and they are heavy handed on the toppings for the value. The service here is excellent and I will continue to visit for pies and wings. They have a plethora of flavorful wing sauces. Honey mustard being my favorite.

I attended an event at Johnny’s Pizza in Cary, NC today. I had not eaten at Johnny’s Pizza before, so I was eager to try their food. Johnny’s Pizza restaurant has a warm and welcoming vibe that makes you feel like family. The space within the restaurant is utilized well. It is not cramped nor too spaced out. It is just right. The staff greeted me with a smile, was professional, and welcoming.

We’ve ordered from this group a few times now so it’s time to do a review. One of the things that we enjoy is that they have wings, salad, and pizza along with other options because my husband always wants to have a salad with wings and pizza as a combination. In the past we have done their Cheeseburger pizza which is very different but quite enjoyable. Suggest getting the cheese sauce on the side until you taste it for the first time. This time we opted for the Supreme and the Brooklyn White. I’m not a fan of ricotta but I had been wanting to try the Brooklyn because it’s such an unusual combination. I have to say it was interesting but again because I’m not a fan of ricotta it’s not something I personally would order again. The Supreme Pizza was well loaded with meats but was possibly a bit lite on peppers and onions. I would say that they are consistently good on the cook, the pizza is not overdone but also not super soggy in the center. The crust is nice and doughy so this is a pizza that actually reheats really well and to be honest may be better with reheating. The wings this time were very spicy for Hot wings and we like spicy but these were SPICY.
