The vegan combo comes with 4 entrees so we ended up trying 8 hot entrees with injera by ordering two combos. The mushroom entree (ingudai tibs) was phenomenal as was the potato stew but my personal favorite was alicha miser wot. The lentil stew was so humble yet ridiculously flavorful and delicious. The cabbage carrot entree (gomen?) was also really tasty. Very healthy food. The injera was a bit more sour than what I’ve previously tasted but the lunch was a great one nevertheless.

Jikssa is among the most authentic and delicious Ethiopian food to be had. Mr. Jikssa himself a chef of 30+ years cooks and manages his friendly and warm shop in Atlanta’s Municipal Market.

The food is so good I went back twice in one week. It is located in the Sweet Auburn Market food court so not really its own sit down restaurant but there are always tables and the owner provides great service. Worth going to for sure.

I came here for a quick lunch, and everything was great. I asked the cook what was good, and she said “everything.” She wasn’t kidding. My friend and I each got 4 different dishes to eat with the Injera, and everything was so good. Out of the vegan entrees, you can’t go wrong with any of the Wots. The marinated mushroom was also delicious

You must stop to experience delusions vigan dishes or select meat items! My favorite was the Tibs, stir fry meat dish! I personally make this dish but would like to find out the secret ingredient in Jikssa’s Tibs, it was the best tasting ever!!

The food was amazingly tasty and service was sooooo good. I also learned that Jikssa does catering and recommended him to a friend who had an Ethiopian party for over 50 people. Everyone couldn’t believe how great the food was. The owner himself delivered the food with amazing Ethiopian pan made from clay, YES ORIGINAL ONE TOO. I visited the next day to eat but unfortunately, everything was gone! I always drop by at this place whenever I am in the area. The food is addictive especially the veggie plate!!

JIKSSA is very professional and his food is delicious. He can provide a wide variety of catering options, from soul food, to finger goods with great quality meat and seafood. He has hosted at least three events for us. Each time, he was a great communicator, great quality of food and ontime delivery. Great presentation.

Jikssa accommodated us at the last minute. We had a party that we needed catering for and he did not disappoint. Everyone was raving about the food, and the presentation was beautiful! I highly recommend using Jikssa for your next even or even trying his vegan restaurant, you will not be disappointed.

The food was amazing – maybe the best Ethiopian I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot! But best was the warmth and kindness of the two owners and other worker. They were so sweet; even though I got there well before opening (on their first day there!) they made me a delicious plate of food and wonderful lentil soup. You can order one main thing, or have a plate of 4 different things. Reasonable prices. It’s in a really cool indoor market w/ lots of cool stuff (including great gelato/sorbet, some vegan!)
