I love small local food places, especially when it’s bbq. We took a trip to Palestine to do a little ghost hunting and found this cute place. Country P’s was cozy and inviting. The service was fast and friendly. My son enjoyed his pulled pork sandwich. I ordered brisket. It didn’t have as much bark as I’d like but it was moist and flavorful. The sides were good too. I had the coleslaw and potato salad.

The baked potato was delicious and mountain size. The ribs are a MUST ORDER! Seriously, order the ribs. Comfortable place all together. Good food, super nice people, nice atmosphere. We will be returning.

Probably one of the friendliest restaurants I’ve been to! Family run and they definitely make you feel like family. When they asked if you need anything else we joked and said the brisket’s great maybe a bit more and they even brought more! Amazing place, great food, great people!

Ribs here are phenomenal and the sauce is great too. Just a enough spice to tickle your tongue. I’ll definitely go back to try other menu items. I don’t know who’s are better Shep’s or these, may have to get a rack if each and have a taste test…yall should give these folks a try for sure, you want be disappointed.

This is the place to go for a healthy serving of food. The Bar B Que sandwiches were excellent a good smoke taste and the chopped beef was great and sausage melted in your mouth!!!! My daughter thought the sauce was excellent!!! Thanks for doing all the hard work to get great tasting Bar B Que!!

Not your typical sit down restaurant. Can’t say much for the Mac n cheese, although my son and nephew loved the baked taters. But if you’re looking for good brisket… this is some of the best I’ve ever had. I’m real picky about brisket. This was not too greasy, not a bunch of fat, but LOTS of flavor! Great service. Too bad I don’t pass through often because I’m craving another chop beef sandwich from this place.
