My boyfriend was craving a hot pastrami sandwich for lunch and looked all over Newark’s downtown area for a good place. Boy oh boy were we lucky to find this cute deli hidden between shops in the middle of Commerce Street! The sandwiches we ordered were tasty, grand in size and appropriately priced! This will definitely be our go-to shop for sandwiches from now on!! The cooks and staff were beyond friendly as well as professional. We absolutely recommend Cafe Airlie!!!!

This place is amazing-the food was good and the prices were affordable! It is so rare to find a place that is able to do both these days. Highly recommend! Let’s keep these kinds of places in business! I am tired of paying $6 for a cup of coffee!! They were also friendly and the place was clean and nicely painted.

Great tasting sandwiches, however the wait is awful. Expect to be here 15 minutes or more if you don’t order ahead of time. Cashier completely forgets to process orders and gets distracted most of the time.

This place was recommended by a coworker since we both wanted a decent pastrami sandwich and our regular go to is currently closed. I went in believing it was a good idea. The place was clean and the customer service was good. The wait time was not too long, even though they were starting to get a little busy. I ordered a pastrami on rye with lettuce, tomatoes and mustard. My coworker ordered just pastrami on rye. They do not have pickles. Prices were reasonable.

This has been my go-to spot for a while now, the sandwiches are great! Typically what we do on a day that there won’t be too much time in-between meetings, is order two breakfast sandwiches, grab two bags of chips and split a sandwich. Reasonably priced considering the great quality of food.

They offer the best pastrami & corned beed sandwich I’ve been to this place for years since it is close to where I work. I revisited this lovely place last week, as for first time in 3 years post pandemic, and the owner still remembers my name and the price is still the same as pre-pandemic with the same 5 star tastes

This spot has been on my radar for a while and happy I got to try it. I called in my order of the Sweet Lou with a nice guy that answered. When I arrived I couldn’t find parking. Parking in this area is terrible so be prepared. When I walked in the man said my name and gave me my food and it came to about $10. I paid via credit card and left. When I tasted the sandwich it was pretty good. I liked the flavoring and it was plenty especially for the price. I will be back for more.

This is a great little deli in Newark. The sandwiches are large and inexpensive. We only ate half for lunch and saved the rest for later. I wish we had places like this in Minnesota.
