Cool bar grill. Place gets busy soon as they open. Staff is very friendly. Bloody Mary’s are ok. Nothing special. Had the Mushrooms as appetizer which were real good. Nice place to meet up with friends. Nice thing about this place is since in basement no cell service.

We stopped at this cute bar to have a couple of drinks while we waited for the sunset tour and we are so glad we did. Great atmosphere they have live music and the music was great and the artist was very talented. The staff acknowledged us right away. We sat at the bar and our bartender made our drinks which were very good and well balanced and kept checking with us if we were ok. We didn’t have food but will next time we are in town.

The restaurant was lively and super busy at 1pm on a Saturday. Ruby Burger was good. The fish and chips were sweet and flaky with a sweet potato fry upgrade…also good. Onion straws=highly addictive…The review could have been a 5 star, except that the mushroom appetizer that I ate half of was a too oily to finish, which I showed and told to 3 employees. Other than that 1 item, a good 3.5 star lunch.

Stopped in during the Spring Arts and Crafts Festival. Wait time was fairly short. Server Victoria was delightful! Got the Turkey and Brie Paninni. Was delicious! Fries nice and hot. Friend ordered Soup which was also great!

I’ve been here many times and always loved it. Today we sat time and time again waiting for the staff to finish there conversations. From the time we came in and waited to be seated, several minutes standing while they talked and joked around. Waiting for a refill, food, all of it. Ruined it. It was that they were busy, that I can get. It was that they were hanging out. Food was good.

It was a very busy day in Mount Dora on March 15th. We were in the local brewery having a beer and I asked a local where he thought the best reubens were served and he recommended The Frog and Monkey Restaurant & Pub. So glad we took his advice. Our reubens were outstanding and made to perfection. One plate we ordered the sweet potato fries and the other regular fries. I have to say those sweet potato fries were the best I ever tasted and seriously the reubens were also perfect. The kraut wasn’t too overpowering on the sandwich and the corned beef was so tender. Can’t forget Rhiannon, she made the experience for us top notch! Well done!!! (only drawback was the loud music where we had to shout over each other)

Had the Cottage Pie which was phenomenally fresh and tasty along with vegetables that I enjoyed very much. My French Onion soup was also delicious! Hubby had Fish ‘n Shrimp (large 🙂 with Chips which was also good Live music so you’ll have to speak loudly to each other 😉

Finally was able to visit 1/26, I say that because I’ve tried to go here three different times & for one reason or another they were closed when their hours showed they should been open. So I was excited they were open. My first time & my daughters 3rd. We sat at the bar & split the Bruschetta appetizer & the turkey & Brie sandwich ….both very good. Bruschetta could have had more flavor to it, a little bland but very fresh. Four stars for service, friendly but Very slow. Quaint setting, think the TV show Cheers. Live music playing she was really good but very loud, head to hold a conversation.

So happy we stopped in here for lunch. An out of the way spot that you might miss! The restaurant and bar were completely full when we arrived but we only waited about 10 minutes for a table. Despite the crowd, our service was great and the food was delivered in a timely manner. Get the onion straws!!! We will definitely be back!
