I had been searching for awhile for a solid Cuban restaurant. I found it! Don Carlin is an amazing establishment. Food is great, it reminds me of other Cuban hot spots that I grew up with down here in south Florida. Complimentary Cuban bread, lunch specials are great…I prefer the Shredded beef. I had a cuban coffee to go which was smooth and perfectly made. I am unable to find any negatives for this wonderful gem. If you seek amazing, high quality Cuban cuisine.

1st off I’ve written a 5 star review before cause we love It here. We usually order Chuletas de puerco & all the cuban food is good. But this is now the second time we order chicken tenders for a toddler and they are completely inedible. Soo fried that it’s like a rock. I don’t know why these would be so off the mark.

I’ve only ever had Rabo (oxtail) Friday lunch special all the times I’ve been here . It’s the most outstanding version with fall off the bone meat, delicate sauce with some olives, paired with rice. Red beans are very very good. Service is friendly, and food is fresh. Finish it off with a cuban coffee! Perfect Friday lunch.

Read some reviews about this place and decided to try it on a Monday night. Staff is very friendly and we were promptly seated. I had Ropa Vieja (Shredded Beef on creole sauce) it was good so we’re the black beans and tostones. Don Carlin has real Cuban food. Café Cubano was excellent!

Yesssss!!!!!! So so good!! It was chilly after. all the storms so I started with cafe con leche and it was perfect!! Foamy and delicious! Plantain chips and ham croquettes for the table and they did not disappoint! Everything was delicious and cooked beautifully!! I had the chicken breast with seared onions and the rice and beans and fried plantains. Our daughter had the Cuban sandwich and almost finished it and hubby had the fried pork chunks and ate every bite!

Serving size is great. I barely finished my lunch yesterday. The staff is attentive and quick to serve. Would absolutely recommend the sangria for a delicious sweet treat. Great place for lunch on a time crunch.
