After a long day on the road we had high hopes for this highly rated establishment. We ordered a margherita pizza and two caesar salads via phone, and were told it would be ready in 40 minutes. We arrived 45 minutes after the order was placed and the pizza was still in the oven. This was fine as these things happen and they were nice enough to bring it out to us as we waited in the car.

Decent pizza for what you get. Thin crust pepperoni pizza had decent amount of pepperoni but not a lot of cheese. It seemed pretty skimpy.

Update: After leaving the original 2 star review below (and contacting Prometheus Pizza via email), I received an immediate response from the manager/owner, expressing his apologies, and wanting to correct the situation. He offered us a refund, but more importantly noted that he would address the issue with his employees so as to prevent this from happening with future customers. Mistakes happen, especially when employees aren’t trained properly or paying attention. It happens. What’s important is to have a leader/ manager who will make it right. I appreciate his prompt reply and his sincere effort to make his customers happy.

I would like to say I am a very well traveled person, and after going to Italy and trying their iconic wood fired pizzas…I must say Prometheus is the closest (and may I add equal and above level) of a traditional Italian pizza. The flavors of the pizza, melded perfectly with their perfect crispy dough recipe. After speaking with the chef, you get to understand how each ingredient was studied and picked to be the finest, and that is what quality you taste when you bite into it. From the five pizzas I ordered each one exceeded expectations, and kept you wanting more. I am glad to say I visited this pizza place and encourage anyone reading my review to visit as well, because not much other places compare to the authenticity that was found here.

Went to Fredericksburg, Texas for a weekend retreat with my love. While there, we were looking for a place with outdoor seating because of Covid, we didn’t want to be too close to people and so… we found Prometheus Pizza! Boy… are we happy we did. The pizza was perfect and the atmosphere is so relaxing and inviting. We stopped in around 7pm when the sun was just about to set, so the summer evening was starting to cool down. The 50’s music, the lights, the food… it was the perfect date night. The owner came out and spoke to us to make sure we were happy with our food ( Which we were), told us about the way he makes the dough, and he was truly so passionate about his food. Pricing is appropriate for the quality of the product. Definitely give these guys a try when you are in the area. Five yummy faces from me!

Best pizza in the hill country!! The crust is perfect, light and airy while crunchy. We had the Galatea and we are talking about it again the next day wanting more, salty and fresh, it is so yummy. We also had the Roxanne and it was tasty with the perfect amount of chili to add some spiciness.

Hot potato pizza was reminiscent of pierogi pizza from back home (just without the onions and loads of butter)! My pizza seemed a bit dry and could have used some diced tomatoes/ other veggies, or more sauce/cheese, but maybe it was just this order; otherwise the flavor was good. Online ordering and pick-up were easy. There was outdoor seating available. The pizza was easily 2 meals for a single person. Would definitely check this place out again to try a different pizza next time I’m in town.

Couldn’t find anything in town around 7 pm and ran into this amazing pizza place. I ordered Zhazilla and OM GOSH it was sooooo good. It was very meaty and the flavor was so delicious. I would def come back here again. The staff was very friendly too. You gotta come visit and try their pizza!!!

Visited 2 years ago today (popped up on memories). Kids still talk about the food and want to go back. We live 4 hours away. Everything we tried was excellent, sweet tea really stood out to me though.
